We announced previously that Wine Bar George would be opening at Disney Springs within Walt Disney World. The location is said to include 200 total seats and will be located in The Landing area of Disney Springs. There will be over 130 wine selections for guests to sample and enjoy from a variety of different wineries. The location will also feature small plates and shareable entrées to accompany your wine selections. George Miliotes is a wine expert, native Floridian and a Disney alum. He is one of 249 Master Sommeliers in the entire world. When Wine Bar George opens, it will be the only wine bar in Florida that is owned by a Master Sommelier. We are excited to get a sneak peek at some of the offerings coming to the location from Disney Parks Blog!
The Big Board: This menu item includes a selection of 6 artisan cheeses and 5 meats. It will serve 2 or more guests depending on how hungry you are.
Grilled Octopus with Lemon Vinaigrette: A light and refreshing salad with pieces of Spanish octopus topped with a lemon vinaigrette.
Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites: Crispy cheesy bites that are served with tomato nage and Pecorino, like a unique take on grilled cheese with tomato soup.
Porchetta Spiced Pork Cheeks: The meat is slow cooked and served with a creamy, three-cheese polenta and topped with an orange gremolata.
Grilled Whole Greek Sea Bass: This menu item will serve two or more with a whole fish that is served with cannelloni bean ragoût and seasonal vegetables.
Olive Oil Cake: This is a moist and delicious cake with a olive oil flavor. It is served with candied olives and a lemon mascarpone.
When the doors open to Wine Bar George, expect something special. “It is my responsibility to bring joy to the wine list and the experience,” said George. “I want Wine Bar George to encourage conversations of what is brilliant and special in the wine world.”
We don’t have an official opening date for Wine Bar George, but we are definitely getting even more excited for the location to finally open! Which of these amazing menu items are you most looking forward to trying with your favorite wine?
