Walt Disney World to Start Construction on Third Parking Garage at Disney Springs

Disney Springs has been under a major expansion for the last couple of years.  The area has added numerous shops, restaurants, entertainment and the addition of 2 new parking garages to help accommodate the increased traffic to the area.  Disney has now announced that they will start construction on the third parking garage for the area on April 1st (unless this is a clever April Fool’s joke by Disney…).  The new parking garage would be located next to the casting building on Buena Vista Drive and directly across the street from Disney Springs.

This new parking structure is expected to provide parking for 3,000 cars that visit the area.  This garage will also feature the same technology that is found in the other parking garages, where there are counts for the open spaces on each floor and you can tell by light indicators over the vehicle whether a space is open or not. This technology is extremely cool and really helps to navigate to a spot within the parking garage without driving up and down the different aisles.
