We previously announced the closing of the Children’s Activity Centers that were located within select resort at Walt Disney World. It looks like Disney is still making good use of the locations by making them centers for family crafts and activities. For example, the Sandcastle Club, which was located at Disney’s Beach Club has been renamed “Seaside Retreat” and is offering activities like a movie and a craft to make miniature character magnets.

We assume that the activities that are offered will change frequently. We also expect that each of the different locations will offer different activities that families can enjoy. This seems like a great way to enjoy family time together without having to deal with the crowds and chaos of the parks.
These family activity centers for the entire family to enjoy. They aren’t a babysitting service and you won’t be able to leave your children there without a parent or guardian also being there with them the entire time. If you do need child care options there is an in-room baby sitting option and there is a children’s party even that is offered at Disney’s Contemporary Resort so that parents can have a little time for a nice meal while the kiddos play.
Who else would like to check out these new family activity centers at the resorts?
