Access to Wi-Fi is definitely a necessity in today’s society. This is definitely true, even when vacationing at Walt Disney World. Wi-Fi service was first offered to resort guests starting back in 2011 and there have been changes to the offering over the years. We have learned that Disney will enhance the Wi-Fi service across all of the Walt Disney World Resort properties. The enhancements will start with Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. This is one of the smallest resorts on property, so that could be part of the reason that it was selected. Guests will find the new service listed as “WDW Resorts Guest” when searching for available Wi-Fi networks while on property. It will be able to be found in the guests rooms and in public places around the resort.

The Wi-Fi service is especially vital with all of the functionality that has been released within the My Disney Experience App. This mobile app allows guests to control, view and manage many of the aspects of their Walt Disney World vacation. It would be ideal to have your mobile device connected to free Wi-Fi while using it instead of using your mobile data, especially if you aren’t on an unlimited data plan.
How many of you are constantly tuned into My Disney Experience during your vacation?
