Walt Disney World Will Receive a Visit From American Idol Bus for Auditions at Disney Springs

We announced previously that the popular ABC television show, American Idol, will return on air on ABC starting in 2018.  Disney Parks Blog released additional exciting information for guests that will be at Walt Disney World on August 17th.  Disney Springs will receive a visit from the American Idol bus on August 17th for guests to audition to be on American Idol.  Guest who think they have what it takes to be the next American Idol will be able to audition for producers of the show.  Unfortunately, there won’t be any celebrity judges present, but it is still an opportunity to get onto the show!

On August 17th, it is recommended for guest to arrive early.  Parking will be available starting at 4 AM, with no parking available before then.  There will be NO overnight camping allowed to get in line for registration.  The parking will be available on the surface parking lot close to the West Side of Disney Springs near House of Blues and Cirque du Soleil.

Registration is expected to begin at 6 AM, while auditions will start at 8 AM.  Registration will close at either 12 PM or when capacity for auditions that day is reached.  There will be a pre-registration opportunity, which is encouraged.  Head over to www.americanidol.com in order to complete pre-registration and see all of the requirements, forms, etc.

All of those auditioning must be at least 15 years of age.  The auditions are scheduled to occur outdoors, so guests will need to come prepared for the elements.  This means to bring your water, sunscreen, appropriate clothes, etc.  Guests that are auditioning are allowed to have one guest with them for company and that guest must be over 5 years old.
