It’s happening Disney fans! More and more experiences are reopening at Walt Disney World as Disney continues to adjust guidelines in accordance with CDC and local health official guidelines. We were thrilled to see Disney’s arcades reopening today and playgrounds once again being played in.

Today (June 11) we visited Disney’s Pop Century Resort where we were happy to see the Fast Forward Arcade is open! Balloons and a sign noted the reopening. This is the first time arcades have been open since the COVID closures last year. Guests were already taking advantage of the arcade reopening first thing this morning! While we’re thrilled to see the resort arcades reopening, we did notice today at Magic Kingdom that Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is still closed.

We were also excited to see that despite Walt Disney World’s website stating that playgrounds are “temporarily paused”, the Dumbo The Flying Elephant playground in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is now open. Masks are currently required inside but this will change beginning June 15 when Disney’s face covering policy changes.
We’ll continue to keep you posted as Disney keeps the reopenings and changes coming! Are you planning a visit to Walt Disney World soon? Be sure to keep an eye on the Walt Disney World health and safety guidelines.
