Wine Bar George Pushes Back Opening at Walt Disney World

We announced previously that Wine Bar George would be opening at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World.  When the announcement for Wine Bar George was first made, we were told that the new wine bar would be opening in fall of 2017.  We have now learned that the opening date for the new location will be in the spring of 2018.  We don’t know the reason for why the opening has been pushed back or if we can expect the opening to be pushed back again.

Master Sommelier George Miliotes is the driver for Wine Bar George.  This location will be the only wine bar led by a Master Sommelier at Walt Disney World, making it an extremely unique and exciting place to visit.  Guests that visit the wine bar can expect to learn a lot about wine and wine pairings, along with delicious small plates and tastings.  We expect that there will be various packages and experiences available at the location that will be perfect for date nights, parties, social gatherings and more. The wine bar is expected to be around 6,000 square feet and seat 210 people.  George Miliotes was part of the crew that opened California Grill restaurant at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  He is a native Floridian that is committed to the area, so the location is perfect for him to start this venture.  He has published various books and publications about wine and wine education, so he is an amazing choice to bring this experience to life at Disney Springs.
