While visiting Walt Disney World, some guests might not realize that they can also escape to an island paradise and visit the South Pacific. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort features all of the charms of the South Pacific, like lush vegetation, traditional buildings, and coastal beaches, combined with modern day amenities. Now with a new title after a lengthy renovation, this resort is a favorite of many guests and a coveted reservation. 10. Water View –

The resort is located along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon which not only brings in a constant gentle breeze but also offers up beautiful views. Guests can enjoy looking out across the water at sights including the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and the Contemporary Resort. With views like these, it is no wonder why the Polynesian is so amazing.

9. Monorail Access –

One of the biggest perks of staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is its location on the Resort Loop of the monorail. By simply walking right out of the lobby, guests can step aboard the monorail that travels to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). Guests can also easily transfer at the TTC to a monorail that heads directly to Epcot. With a quick ride to the Magic Kingdom and easy access to Epcot, this resort has some of the best transportation in Walt Disney World.

Located in the resort’s lobby on the second level, this Hawaiian feast is a character breakfast with Lilo and Stitch and a regular family style meal for dinner each night. Featuring bottomless dinner options such as pork dumplings and sour chicken, there is something for every guest to enjoy here. For those looking for an even more magical meal, try to book a reservation coinciding with Happily Ever After fireworks in the Magic Kingdom and request a window table for a beautiful view!

7. Tonga Toast –

This decadent breakfast option is offered at the full service Kona Café or at the quick service location Capt. Cook’s. Consisting of a massive chunk of sourdough bread stuffed with bananas, deep fried, and then smothered in cinnamon sugar, this is a breakfast of champions and a great way to start the day at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

6. Lava Pool –

This is the main pool at the resort and it boasts impressive views of the beach and Seven Seas Lagoon and a massive volcano. Running directly through the volcano is a water slide for guests to enjoy and entry to the pool is made easy with a zero-depth entry point. With the Barefoot Pool Bar nearby serving up refreshing cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, the Lava Pool is the ideal place to relax!

5. Dole Whip –

This snack is a cult favorite that is usually served up at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom and features pineapple sorbet that is both sweet and refreshing on a hot day. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offers up easy Dole Whip access for its guests at Pineapple Lanai, a quick service window located outside of the main lobby building. With such easy access to a Dole Whip, it is no wonder why so many guests love this resort!

4. Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show –

This popular dinner show can be found in Luau Cove and is hosted by the fictional Auntie Wini. Guests can enjoy entertainment including dancers, drummers, and fire performers while chowing down on island favorites like roasted chicken, pineapple-coconut bread, and pineapple bread pudding. While the show and meal can be a bit pricey, it is a great perk of the resort and guests are sure to enjoy it!

Located along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon are pristine white beaches that enhance the resort’s relaxing tropical feel. Scattered along the beach there are hammocks that offer up a little piece of paradise while gently swaying in the breeze and enjoying the ambiance.

2. Great Ceremonial House –

This is the name of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort’s lobby and it is a truly beautiful building. Featuring a massive atrium ceiling, open concept, lush greenery, and tiki statues, the ambiance can’t be beat. Also located in the Great Ceremonial House are ‘Ohana, Kona Café, the front desk, concierge, shopping options, the Tambu Lounge, and more. With the serene atmosphere combined with the various amenities, this is the ultimate resort lobby!

1. Walk to the TTC –

A great perk of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is its proximity to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). Instead of taking the monorail loop there in order to transfer for a ride to Epcot, guests can enjoy a short leisurely stroll through the grounds of the resort and arrive at their destination in only a few minutes.
