10. Soarin’ Around the World

This experience immerses you into different countries and landmarks around the world.  You get the feeling that you are parasailing over these beautiful places. More of your senses are engaged when there is even the smell of certain areas as part of the experience.  This is definitely a must-experience attraction for guests of all ages.

9. Test Track

If you are looking for a thrilling attraction, then you definitely don’t want to miss Test Track.  During the experience guests get to build their own car and then take it out on the road for a test to see how it holds up.  It is a lot of fun and you will love the end where you speed out super-fast through the outdoor road track!

8. Epcot International Festivals

There are various festivals that are held throughout the seasons at Epcot.  First there is the Epcot International Festival of the Arts which is held in January and February, which celebrates all kinds of art.  Then there is the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival offered during the spring where the park is transformed with beautiful flowers, topiaries and more.  Next up is Epcot International Food & Wine Festival where guests can have culinary experiences and experience a variety of delicious food and beverage offerings.  Last, but not least, there is the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays where guests can experience the holidays in each of the countries within World Showcase.  Each of these festivals come with their own unique line-up of entertainment and add-on experiences for guests to enjoy.

7. Mission: SPACE

In this attraction, guests get to experience a simulation of a shuttle takeoff and journey in space. Each person in the pod has their own job with interactive components that they complete throughout the mission.  The ride can be intense for some people, or even leave guests feeling a bit claustrophobic.  If that is the case, there is a more family-friendly version of the attraction so that everyone can still get a little taste of outer space.

6. Turtle Talk with Crush

This attraction is over at The Seas pavilion and it is so much fun, no matter how many times we visit. Guests get to sit in a room with a screen where Crush comes out on the screen and talks with the guests.  He asks questions, tells jokes and lets guests ask him questions, which he answers live.  It is an extremely fun and interactive experience for guests of all ages.

5. Epcot Forever

Epcot Forever is the new fireworks show that debuted at Epcot.  This show replaced the long-running IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.  The show is actually only an interim show until the long-term show HarmonioUS debuts at the park.  You can’t visit Epcot without checking out the fireworks show, which pays homage to the history of Epcot.  It was sad to see IllumiNations go, but we are glad that the park continues to offer a spectacular nighttime fireworks performance.

4. Dining in World Showcase

There are so many amazing places to dine that is hard to pick just one.  There are a variety of different kiosks and quick service locations throughout World Showcase, especially if you visit during one of the festivals.  If you have time, I definitely recommend that you try out the table service dining options. One of our favorites is Teppan Edo, a hibachi style restaurant within the Japan pavilion.  We love that we are immersed in the dinner experience and get a delicious meal with a show.  We also love Le Cellier at the Canada pavilion.  The steaks are amazing and we love the wine selection.  I really don’t think you could go wrong no matter what you choose, as all of the dining locations have something special to offer.

3. Frozen Ever After

Frozen still has an extremely large following among guests, so of course there is a Frozen presence at the different theme parks.  Disney did a great job with the creation of Frozen Ever After, too.  They featured some of the latest technology with the creation of the animatronics.  They look amazing and more lifelike than other previous animatronic models.  The attraction is engaging and features all of our favorite characters as well as many of the songs, too.  This one is fun for everyone and visually great to see, even if you aren’t a diehard Frozen fan.

2. Spaceship Earth

Note: Spaceship Earth will close for re-imagining on May 26, 2020. While the iconic “ball” will remain, the interior of the attraction will be changing.

No trip to Epcot is complete without a ride on Spaceship Earth.  Spaceship Earth is the attraction that lives inside of the Epcot ball.  This attraction takes guests on a journey through the dawn of learning and technology.  You start from where language and paper were created and all the way up to where we have computers and the digital age.  It is educational and a fun, slow-moving attraction that the whole family can enjoy.

1. Journey Into Imagination with Figment

If you are a fan of Epcot, then you are probably very familiar with Figment.  He has been an icon for the park and has a huge guest following.  He lives over at his attraction within the Imagination! Pavilion.  The attraction takes you on a tour of the senses before Figment takes over and encourages the use of your imagination.  He is such a fun character and it’s easy to see why so many fall in love with him.  The pavilion itself is also really cool and a great place to check out!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
