11. It’s Educational
Epcot is able to uniquely balance education with entertainment which makes learning fun. With education as its primary goal, Epcot offers a vast array of different pavilions which each focus on a certain topic or country. In Future World guests can learn about the oceans at The Seas with Nemo and Friends, imagination at Journey into Imagination with Figment, and agriculture in The Land. Future World and World Showcase were originally intended to be two separate parks until Imagineers mashed them together to create the Epcot guests know today. 8. Nemo and Friends
For guests who are fans of the Pixar film Finding Nemo, there are plenty of ways to interact with Nemo and other characters from the film at The Seas with Nemo and Friends. There is an attraction of the same title which takes guests through the film’s story, areas to learn more about the ocean with familiar faces, and a chance to interact with Crush in real time at Turtle Talk with Crush.
7. A Chance To Blast Into Space
Epcot offers up the unique chance to blast into space as part of training course for a mission to outer space. At Mission:SPACE guests enter the International Space Training Center and can pick a more intense (Orange Team) or tamer (Green Team) experience. They are then blasted into space for an out of this world adventure. Guests who opt for the Orange Team feel G Forces close to those that real astronauts feel!
6. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet
The new version of Test Track takes guests into the design world of Chevrolet and teaches them about the advantages of efficiency, power, capability, and responsiveness and their relationship to design. Guests are then each given the opportunity to design their own unique vehicle and see how it holds up on the attraction. Your family will love Test Track as it offers everyone the chance to create their own unique design and have some friendly competition.
5. Spaceship Earth
This flagship attraction of Epcot tells the history of communication from the beginning of time to modern day. Filled with interesting scenes including the Renaissance and Ancient Greece, guests especially love this attraction for its unique ending. For the final portion of the experience, guests get to answer a series of questions and are offered a cartoon segment of what their future could be like complete with their pictures! It’s a great interactive element that all guests love!
4. Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After is located in the Norway Pavilion and boasts extremely long wait times in the stand-by line. Save the time… FastPass this one! Frozen Ever After is a family-friendly boat ride that took the place of the former Maelstrom and follows a similar track, winding through multiple experiences up and down the river. It’s a fun attraction with beautiful surroundings, top notch animatronics, and of course… the forever popular Frozen characters and songs to sing along with. Plus, the family can meet Anna and Elsa after in a character meet and greet!
3. Traveling the World
World Showcase offers guests the amazing opportunity to travel the world and experience eleven different cultures without leaving Central Florida. Featuring countries such as Mexico, China, Germany, Morocco, and Canada guests can spend a whole day exploring each pavilion and enjoy shopping, dining, exhibits, and live entertainment native to each country. Guests will really feel like they have crossed the globe- and still be able to go back and ride Soarin’ a second time!
2. Food For Everyone
Every family is sure to love Epcot because of its vast and unique dining options. Future World is home to The Garden Grill which serves up fresh produce grown in the greenhouses of The Land and Coral Reef Restaurant which offers beautiful views of the massive aquarium in The Seas with Nemo and Friends. 1. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
Note: Illuminations’ last show will be September 30, 2019. “Epcot Forever”, a temporary fireworks spectacular, will begin on October 1.
Each day in Epcot ends with a nighttime spectacular on World Showcase Lagoon. Illuminations combines a beautiful story with fireworks, pyrotechnics, lasers, and a sweeping score. Each member of the family will be sure to enjoy this memorable show and find it a great way to cap off a trip to Epcot!
