6 Things You Will Love About Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

This is an adorable location deep in the France pavilion out at the World Showcase in Epcot. It is a quick-service location, but very different than what you would typically expect from a theme park food counter. The food is authentic French treats that you will love the opportunity to taste and sample. You definitely want to come hungry and give several different items a try. Here are 6 things that you will absolutely love about Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie during your next trip:

6. It opens early!

This is definitely a major perk! The World Showcase at Epcot typically doesn’t open until 11AM most days. This location out in France at the World Showcase actually opens at 9AM each day, which gives you the awesome opportunity to have a French pastries and treats for breakfast and enjoy a stroll through the World Showcase without all of the other guests and crowds around. You also don’t require a reservation, so you can just arrive as you please and not worry about whether you will be able to get in or not.

5. The cast members

The French are definitely known for their culinary experiences and pride themselves on the food and service that they provide. You definitely feel that here. The cast members go above and beyond to help bring their culture to the location. They are happy to help explain what are in the dishes, how to pronounce the names of some of the items and they will even practice your French knowledge with you, if you want to try ordering in French. It is a lot of fun.

4. The perfect atmosphere

The location is a perfect representation of a little bistro in Paris. It is nestled away at the back of the gift shop at the Paris pavilion and gives a perfect feeling of dining at a real Parisian location. The art around the restaurant is pictures of the traditional French foods, along with French phrases. If you have a basic knowledge of the French language you will enjoy reading the phrases and little details at the location.

3. You can use your Disney Dining Plan snack credits

If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you are going to absolutely love this! There are tons of great options that you can use your snacks for. Many guests on the dining plan end up with snacks left at the end of their vacation, and this is a great spot to use some of your snack entitlements where they also get good bang for your buck. You could even make a small meal out of this to help your table service entitlements go further. We love it!

2. There is wine

I don’t know about the rest of you out there, but I definitely love any good excuse to drink wine! At this location there are amazing wine options and the French cast members there will also help you with the pairings if you don’t have a favorite in mind so that you can bring out all of the flavors in the wine with the food selections that you make. It is fun to try different wines and learn more about what flavor combinations work together. It is just a great time!

1. The Napoleon

This is the most popular dessert in all of the location, and it is easy to see why. It is absolutely DELICIOUS! The dessert is made up of layers of puff pastry that is layered with rich, sweet cream throughout and icing on top. It may sound like a simple dessert, but it is a major contender for all of the other desserts they have. If you ask any cast member or major Disney fan, they will tell you that this dessert is a must have when you visit France while at the World Showcase.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
