7 Attractions We Hope Never Close At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Amidst the newer attractions at Hollywood Studios, the park still offers a good dose of oldies but goodies! Some of these attractions include thrilling adventures with Indiana Jones, silly times with the Muppets, and even an eerie trip to the Twilight Zone. While guests never hope that any attraction closes, these are the seven in Disney’s Hollywood Studios that we would miss the most and hope never close.

7. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Looming at the end of Sunset Boulevard, this ominous attraction takes guests into an episode of the beloved television show and makes them the star. From the moment guests can hear others screaming inside the building they know something is wrong. Once passing through the abandoned lobby and entering the library, guests find out that something sinister happened one Halloween night long ago. Soon on board an elevator out of control and heading towards the Twilight Zone, guests find themselves returning to the Hollywood Tower Hotel for thrills over and over again. Fans of the show also love this attraction as it features many original props from various episodes scattered throughout the building.

6. Star Tours – The Adventure Continues –

This attraction allows Star Wars fans a chance to become part of the rebel alliance as their regularly scheduled Star Tours voyage takes a turn and they find themselves in an out of this world adventure. The attraction features various scenes randomly generated in 3D to allow guests a different experience every time. With authentic props, favorite characters, and a chance to be part of the action, we hope this attraction will never go away. Especially if you are the rebel spy!

5. Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage –

Sure, Beauty and the Beast may be a “tale as old as time”… but it’s definitely not one we feel ever gets old to watch! Situated off Sunset Blvd in Theater of the Stars, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage offers the timeless story of Beauty and the Beast with live stage performers. Gorgeous music, amazing dancing, wonderful props – this show has it all. There has been a couple of other concert series performed in the evenings at the Theater of the Stars, but we hope Beauty and the Beast remain at home here for many years to come!

4. Toy Story Mania –

Toy Story Mania is a popular ride, even more now with the new Toy Story Land open. Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers may be getting all the popularity right now, but Toy Story Mania will always be a fun favorite of ours! Guests find themselves shrinking down to the size of a toy and face to face with their favorite characters from the Toy Story series. Once on board the ride vehicles, guests are off on a whirling tour of various midway games hosted by the toys in 3D. With interactive elements and a healthy dose of competition, it’s no wonder why guests love this attraction so much.

3. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! –

Located in the Echo Lake section of the park, this incredible live show runs several times a day and allow guests a glimpse of how all those famous movie stunts happen safely. Featuring reenactments of several iconic Indy scenes, guests watch as he and Marion battle the bad guys safely. Several lucky guests even get picked to participate as extras in the scenes, making this a truly immersive show we hope never closes!

2. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith –

This rocking adventure takes guests on a tour through the fictional G Force records where they happen upon a recording session with Aerosmith. The band then enlists their manager to find guests a super stretch limo to get them across town to see the Aerosmith concert. With little time to spare, guests soon find themselves in an alley strapped into a crazy limo ready to blast off! Whipping past the neon signs of Los Angeles and finding themselves upside down a few times all to the tunes of Aerosmith, guests find themselves returning to this attraction time and time again.

1. Muppet*Vision 3D –

This classic attraction features the entire cast of the Muppets in their corny, quirky glory and invites guests to experience their first experiment in 3D. From the moment guests enter the theater, there are wacky props and sight gags literally everywhere making even the wait time entertaining. The show itself is done like only the Muppets can and leaves guests chuckling long after leaving. With classic characters and a unique sense of humor, we hope this attraction never closes in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
