Over the past few years, Disney Springs has been undergoing some major changes, transforming into an amazing place to spend time dining, shopping, enjoying entertainment, and more while in Walt Disney World. In particular, the dining at Disney Springs has become one of the most popular things to experience while there and new and exciting restaurants are opening up all the time. One of the most recent dining additions can be found in the West Side area of Disney Springs and is owned and operated by a famous chef with a focus on Spanish style tapas. Jaleo by Jose Andres opened its first location in Washington DC in 1993 and has been growing in popularity ever since. This newest location in Disney Springs invites guests to come in and dine for lunch or dinner each day and enjoy an amazing combination of atmosphere and food. Here are eight things that all guests will love about Jaleo by Jose Andres in Disney Springs!

1. Tapas Style Dining

Since Jaleo by Jose Andres focuses on the flavors and ingredients of Spanish cooking, it is no surprise that the dining style of the location also focuses on the Spanish tradition of tapas. Many of the menu options at the restaurant are designed to be shared amongst guests at the table, allowing for diners to enjoy many different bites throughout their meal. Tapas style dining also allows guests to sample these amazing foods in a more relaxed setting, allowing them to truly savor every bite.

2. Sangria Hour

Each afternoon, Jaleo by Jose Andres features Sangria Hour which is actually three hours and runs from three to six. During these hours, guests can enjoy specials on the restaurant’s signature Sangria Roja as well as house beverages and several tapas options from the menu. Some tapas available during Sangria Hour include Gazpacho, Pisto con Huevo, Patatas Bravas, and Endives.

3. The Lounge Menu

Guests who either can’t get a reservation at Jaleo by Jose Andres or are looking to enjoy a more informal and quick meal can stop by the location’s lounge to enjoy menu items and beverages in a relaxed setting. The lounge features a shortened menu focused mainly on tapas and includes delicious options such as Cono de Tomate y Queso, Croquetas de Pollo, Bunuelos de Bacalao, and Pan de Cristal con Tomate. Guests can also order up sangria and other house beverages while enjoying time in the lounge.

4. Appetizers, Embutidos, Quesos

The menu at Jaleo by Jose Andres is absolutely massive, making it hard to narrow down what to order at each meal. Some of the best appetizer options to choose from include Achoas Don Bocarte, Torta Pascualete, and Plato de Manchego. There are also several Embutidos, or smoked sausages, to choose from including options like a 24-month cured serrano ham and cured acorn-fed pork sausage. The menu also features several amazing queso options all served with chips including the Queso Manchego, Rey Silo Blanco, Payoyo, and Le Peral.

5. Jose Makes Large Plates Too

A great way to be able to sample more food at Jaleo by Jose Andres is to share a main plate, and the location features one menu section of offers up meals specifically designed to feed two or more guests. The Jose Makes Large Plates Too options include Lubina a la Donostiarra which is a grilled whole sea bass, Solomillo Iberico al Cabrales which is a Iberico tenderloin, and the Secreto Iberico Belta con Pan con Tomate y Salsa Verde which is skirt steak served with toasted tomato bread, moho verde, and alioli.

6. Paella y Arroces

One of the most beloved foods in Spanish cooking is paella, and the menu at Jaleo by Jose Andres features several options that are sure to thrill guests. The Paella Valenciana is a classically prepared option featuring chicken, rabbit, lima beans, green beans, and saffron, and the Arroz Mixto de Mar y Montana combines chicken, sausage, pork ribs, shrimp head, and squid. Guests who are vegetarian can order the Arroz de Verduras y Setas de Temporada which features seasonal vegetables and mushrooms and seafood lovers will be thrilled with the Arroz a Banda con Bogavante which features lobster and squid.

7. Pescados y Mariscos and Carnes

Guests who are looking to enjoy a more traditional fish or meat entrée at Jaleo by Jose Andres also have plenty of options to choose from for both lunch and dinner. Some of the most popular seafood options include Gambas al Ajillo which is shrimp sautéed with garlic, Pulpo a la Gallega which is boiled octopus with potatoes, pimento, and extra virgin olive oil, and Vieiras con Salsa de Pinones which is seared scallops with a pine nut sauce, raisins, and PX reduction. Meat options on the menu include Pollo a la Brasa which is chicken with a garlic sauce and Chorizo asero con Pure de Patatas al Aceite de Oliva which is chorizo served with olive oil potato puree and cider sauce.

While the main menu at Jaleo by Jose Andres is filled with amazing options, the kids’ menu is equally as wonderful and small diners are sure to find something that they absolutely love for lunch or dinner. Kids will love digging into menu items such as the Croqueta de Pollo which are traditional chicken fritters, the Tortilla de Patatas Clasica which is a Spanish omelette with potatoes and onions, or the Mero con Pisto which is grouper served with traditional stewed vegetables.
