8 Things You’ll Love About Sebastian’s Bistro at Walt Disney World

It is hard to keep track of all of the amazing dining locations to be found throughout Walt Disney World.  If you are looking for a little something different and outside of the parks to try, you will definitely want to consider Sebastian’s Bistro for your next trip.  Here are 8 things you’ll love about Sebastian’s Bistro:

8. Tropical atmosphere with waterfront views.

We love the Caribbean vibe of Sebastian’s Bistro!  There are beautiful elements throughout the restaurant that bring out the theme through the artwork, bright colors, chandeliers and more.  The restaurant is also located along the water, so there are beautiful views to enjoy while you dine.  The restaurant is so open and inviting, you will definitely be feeling the Caribbean vibe while you dine.

7. It is a newer dining location.

This is one of the newer locations to be added to the family of restaurants at Walt Disney World. Currently, the restaurant is only around a year old. It replaced Shutters Restaurant, which was the primary table service dining location for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort previously.  We love the way the space was reimagined.

6. Disney Dining Plans and gift cards are accepted.

If you are on one of the Disney Dining Plans, then you are in luck!  If you have a plan that includes table service dining entitlements, then you can use 1 entitlement per person to dine at Sebastian’s Bistro. Be sure to also ask about discounts that the restaurant may offer.  You may be able to receive a discount for being a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club Member, Tables in Wonderland Member, etc.  It is definitely always worth asking so that you can get a discount where applicable.

5. Amazing appetizer selections.

We are big time crab cake fans and the ones at Sebastian’s Bistro are amazing! We love the herb mayonnaise that are served with them as well.  If you love crab cakes, you may want to get your own of these since you may not want to share.  If crab cakes aren’t your thing, then there are also a variety of other delicious options.  Another favorite is the Beef Empanadas, which are a flaky pastry filled with seasoned ground beef and guajillo chile sauce.

4. Ride the Disney Skyliner to get to the resort location for the restaurant.

The Disney Skyliner is the newest mode of Disney transportation to debut at Walt Disney World.  The new gondola system transports guests to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and a few resorts, including Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  Dining at Sebastian’s Bistro gives you a great excuse to hop aboard the Disney Skyliner to enjoy amazing views of Walt Disney World before and/or after you dine!

3. Caribbean entrée offerings.

After your appetizers, you are definitely going to be ready for the amazing main course options.  One of my favorites is the Taste of the Caribbean, which is served with black beans and cilantro rice, plus a choice of any three entrees from options including, Jerk chicken, Slow-Cooked Pork, Coconut Shrimp, Goat Curry or Plant-Based Curry.  I like sampling different things, so I feel like I get to experience more options with this entrée.  Of course you can also go for a classic steak or delicious fish and chicken options, too!

2. Reservations may be easier to get.

Because Sebastian’s Bistro is newer and not located at one of the frequently traversed resorts for guests, you may have an easier time snagging a reservation than some of the other resorts.  Now with the Disney Skyliner, it is easy to take a break from playing in the parks to head over for a delicious meal.  If you don’t happen to see an opening, be sure to keep checking back since guests frequently change their plans.

1. You will want to save room for dessert!

After all of the walking around the parks, you have definitely earned a dessert!  The desserts over at Sebastian’s are delicious, too!  My favorite is the Classic Mile-High Key Lime Pie.  I don’t get to eat a delicious key lime pie very often, so when I have the opportunity, I am never disappointed!  The Warm Chocolate Pudding is also delicious for all of you chocolate fanatics out there.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
