Guests who enjoy a Walt Disney World vacation love to spend a lot of their time in the four Disney Parks, experiencing attractions, dining, entertainment, and more. In addition to the Disney Parks, there are countless Disney Resorts spread throughout the property that each feature unique theming as well as dining and shopping. Some Disney Resorts even host special events or experiences that can’t be found anywhere else in Walt Disney World. Guests should definitely plan on making time for some of these incredible Disney Resort experiences that they may not have tried yet!

1. Riding the Skyliner

The newest form of Disney transportation introduced in 2019 combines efficiency and ease with a stylish way to get from several Disney Resorts to two Disney Parks. The Skyliner system transports guests high in the sky in comfortable cars that feature bright colors and character wraps. Each Skyliner car features bench seating and small windows that bring in refreshing breezes as guests move between Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. While guests might have to transfer to different lines depending on where they are going, the Skyliner is a relaxing and efficient way to travel that offers up beautiful views of the Disney Parks and Disney Resorts along the way!

2. Painting on de’ Bayou

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter features the lively atmosphere of New Orleans combined with beautiful architecture and landscaping to offer a wonderful location for guests to stay. Regardless of whether a guest is staying there or not, there is a unique class offered each Wednesday in Scat Cat’s Lounge that lets guests tap into their artistic sides. The Painting on de’ Bayou class features an instructor-led experience where guests can paint a different Disney themed picture every month which can then be brought home as a perfect souvenir.

3. Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

The brand new Disney’s Riviera Resort brings the romance and charm of the French and Italian Riviera to life through beautiful architecture, landscaping, accommodations, and more. Guests who visit the Disney Resort can also enjoy a meal at the new Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera where delicious cuisine is paired with stunning décor and sweeping views of nearby Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and more. The day starts at the restaurant with Breakfast a la Art with Mickey & Friends where guests can meet favorite characters in unique costumes while dining on shared pastries and individual entrees. Dinner at Topolino’s Terrace features ingredients and flavors that highlight cuisine from the Riviera, and guests are sure to love every bite!

4. Toledo – Tapas, Steak, & Seafood

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has recently seen changes with the addition of the beautiful Gran Destino Tower which offers stunning views of nearby Disney Parks and Disney Resorts which are best enjoyed from a unique rooftop location. Toledo – Tapas, Steak, & Seafood is a full service dining location open each day for dinner only that combines the flavors and ingredients of Spain with an on-stage kitchen and beautiful views. In addition to an impressive wine list and décor inspired by 1930s avant-garde art, guests can enjoy menu items including Rioja-Braised Chorizo, Beet Salad, Manhattan Steak, Black Grouper, and more.

5. Highway in the Sky Dine Around

An incredible experience that many guests might not have experienced combines some of the most popular Disney Resorts with amazing dining and beverage options for a perfect night. The Highway in the Sky Dine Around occurs on certain nights throughout each week and invites a small group of guests to enjoy stops at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where small bites, cocktails, a full dinner, and dessert are provided. Each stop on the tour includes a chat with the location’s chef, and the evening culminates with cordials and desserts on a private patio offering stunning views of Happily Ever After in the nearby Magic Kingdom.

6. Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is home to several popular dining experiences, one of which recently underwent changes and is now a character dining experience that guests might not have enjoyed yet. Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White brings guests into the enchanted forest for the chance to meet Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and feel fully immersed in the fairytale with themed food and drinks. In addition to wonderful character interactions, including the chance to pose with the Evil Queen, guests can enjoy fun meals such as A Stroll through Nature, Bashful’s Butter-Poached Sustainable Fish, and Royal Prime Rib Roast. With a fully immersive experience and delicious food, enjoying dinner at Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is a must do!

7. Wagon Rides

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge also features another sister Disney Resort where guests can tap into the rustic side of nature and enjoy a wide array of accommodations and experiences. The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort are home to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch which features unique experiences including horseback riding, fishing, and much more. A popular experience at the location that many guests might not have enjoyed before are the Wagon Rides which leave nightly from Pioneer Hall and offer up the chance to enjoy serene trails and beautiful wooded areas on a rustic and family-friendly horse drawn wagon.

8. Jellyrolls

The Crescent Lake area of Walt Disney World is home to some amazing dining and entertainment including a unique location for only guests over twenty one years of age. Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar where guests can sip on delicious cocktails, wines, and beers from the full bar while enjoying several pianists and performers rock out a truly eclectic blend of music including classic Disney songs as well as pop hits and more. Guests are sure to absolutely love a stop at Jellyrolls as they can request certain songs and are always invited to sing along, making it an interactive experience!
