A Disney Park Just Dropped Prices by 70% (No, Seriously)

For a company known as much for its premium pricing as its pixie dust, “discount” isn’t a word typically associated with Disney. Yet lately, the House of Mouse has been doing something unexpected: lowering prices — and not just on outdated leftovers or obscure souvenirs.

The change has caught the attention of fans, many of whom have spent the last few years navigating an increasingly expensive Disney experience. Theme park ticket prices have steadily risen across Disney’s global resorts, particularly following the pandemic. Add-ons like Lightning Lanes and new hotel fees have only added to the growing cost of a visit.

Now, a string of discounts at Disneyland Paris has quietly upended the conversation. In an era where price cuts from Disney are rare, the European park has rolled out one of its biggest merchandise sales in years — and it’s far from over.

A Rare 70% Discount Hits Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris launched its annual summer sale on June 25 as part of France’s national discounting period known as les soldes d’été. Under French law, stores are only permitted to sell products below cost twice a year — once in winter and once in summer — and those markdowns must be clearly labeled and separated from full-price stock.

What started as modest discounts across the resort has since escalated. While guests initially saw reductions of up to 50% on select items, including apparel, mugs, plush toys, and other merchandise, the markdowns have since deepened.

According to the popular fan outlet DLP Report, “Deeper discounts have been applied on the Summer Sales items (until July 22), and it’s not just the WTF stuff, there’s some Attractions merchandise and Spirit Jerseys. AP discount applies on top, so it can be a great deal.”

The new price cuts — which now reach up to 70% off — cover more than just unpopular items. High-demand merchandise, including themed Spirit Jerseys and attraction-specific pieces, is also included. For shoppers familiar with the typical hefty price tag on such items, the sale is a rare and welcome relief.

Annual passholders also receive an additional discount on top of sale prices, stacking the savings further. The sales are set to run through July 22, but many popular items have already begun to fly off the shelves.

A Broader Trend or a One-Off?

This isn’t the first time a Disney resort has surprised fans with lower prices. In recent weeks, Tokyo Disney Resort has reportedly been considering reduced ticket prices in an effort to increase attendance — an unusual move for a park that’s already known for being more affordable than its U.S. counterparts.

Still, Disneyland Paris’s current sale feels notable for its sheer scope. Unlike most sales limited to dated merchandise or off-brand products, this season’s discounts offer real value. And while the sale ends July 22, guests can expect another round during France’s winter sale period starting January 7, 2026.

Beyond merchandise, Disneyland Paris is also offering various promotions on park tickets, including group discounts and special rates for annual passholder guests.
