One of Disney’s most popular Pixar productions in Paris is heading into a planned two-month hiatus beginning in early 2026.
Pixar’s presence at Walt Disney Studios Park has been central to Disney’s strategy to overhaul the long-struggling Paris park. Over the past decade, the company has leaned on its animation powerhouse to anchor new attractions, stage shows, and re-themed areas aimed at broadening the guest experience.
The effort is part of a sweeping reinvention. Since its opening in 2002, Walt Disney Studios Park has been regarded as one of the weakest parks in Disney’s portfolio. Incremental additions have slowly built momentum, with live entertainment serving as a crucial piece in reshaping its reputation.
Hiatus for TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure
TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure has been among the most visible of these additions.
The Pixar stage production premiered in 2023 and blends live performance, projection mapping, and a full orchestra score to showcase Pixar’s most iconic films. Since premiering, it has drawn consistent crowds and positive reviews for its scale and theatricality.
Disney has confirmed that the show will close temporarily on January 5, 2026, with performances resuming on March 6. The hiatus follows the seasonal performance model the company has used in Paris, which cycles entertainment offerings to balance demand and park operations.

For fans planning visits in the early months of the year, the break means missing one of the resort’s marquee productions. The return date, however, positions the musical to come back in time for the park’s most significant launch to date.
Ongoing Work at Walt Disney Studios Park
That launch is World of Frozen, the park’s centerpiece expansion. Set to open in spring 2026, the new land – similar but not identical to the World of Frozen found in Hong Kong Disneyland – will feature a version of Frozen Ever After and an immersive recreation of Arendelle. Its debut will also coincide with Walt Disney Studios Park’s official rebrand as Disney Adventure World — a name reflecting the park’s evolving identity (and lack of cohesive theming, but we digress).
The Frozen land follows other high-profile expansions across the resort, including Avengers Campus in 2022. Looking forward, additional projects are on the horizon, with concepts tied to Tangled (2010), The Lion King (1994), and Up (2009), alongside a new lake designed to host nighttime shows.
Each expansion is part of a multi-year plan to address long-standing criticism that the park lacked depth compared with its international counterparts. World of Frozen is likely to trigger a jump in attendance and solidify the park’s place as a centerpiece of Disney’s European strategy, with 90% of the park transformed by the end of its makeover.
