What should have been a magical Wednesday at Walt Disney World Resort turned into a stressful one for at least two groups of guests after vehicle burglaries were reported at separate parking areas on the property just hours apart.

The morning got off to a troubling start when law enforcement received a call at 8:39 a.m. reporting a vehicle burglary at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime captured the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 05/27/26 08:39 am
🚨: Burglary of a Vehicle at 📍: Caribbean Beach Resort

The early hour suggests the break-in may have occurred while guests were still settling into their day — or possibly overnight — in the parking area at one of Walt Disney World Resort’s most popular Moderate Resort hotels.

A Second Incident Across the Property

At 2:41 p.m., a second vehicle burglary was reported, this time in the Mango parking area at Disney Springs, on the opposite end of the Walt Disney World Resort property. @WDWActiveCrime logged the afternoon law enforcement response as well:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 05/27/26 02:41 pm
🚨: Burglary of a Vehicle at 📍: Mango Gar

Whether the two incidents were committed by the same offender or by different individuals remains unknown. Neither Walt Disney World Resort security nor local law enforcement has released any additional details about either case, and it’s unclear whether any suspect has been identified or apprehended in connection with the burglaries.

What Guests Should Know Going Forward

Disney Springs and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort are both operating normally following Wednesday’s incidents, with no restrictions on guest parking at either location. That said, Wednesday serves as a practical reminder that vehicle security matters even on Disney property.

Locking your car, keeping valuables out of sight, and knowing where your vehicle is parked are simple habits that can make a real difference. If anything looks off when you return to your vehicle at the end of a park day or resort stay, don’t hesitate to find a security cast member or law enforcement officer; both are stationed throughout Walt Disney World Resort and available to assist.

Do you feel safe parking your car at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs? Disney Tips would love to hear from you in the comments!
