Something new has appeared near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park. While it isn’t the attraction expansion some Walt Disney World Resort guests might be hoping for, it’s a welcome addition to one of the newest areas in the park.

On June 3, Walt Disney World Resort guests reported a new interactive offering inside the Critter Co-Op gift shop near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom Park. A Cool Kids Coloring Corner has been set up near the check-out area, featuring two picnic tables stocked with crayons and Disney-themed coloring sheets for theme park guests to enjoy while they visit the shop.

WDW News Today shared a photo on Facebook showing guests already taking advantage of the new setup, which fits naturally into the gift shop environment without interfering with browsing and buying merchandise. Despite the “Kids” branding, the offering is open to guests of all ages — perfect for a break from the summer heat (and rain).

The Cool Kids Coloring Corner is part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER at Walt Disney World Resort. It is expected to remain in place through September 8, when the seasonal programming concludes across the Central Florida Disney parks.

Cool KIDS’ SUMMER

The coloring corner is one small piece of a much larger summer event now in its second year. Cool KIDS’ SUMMER runs from May 26 through September 8, 2026, and spans all four Walt Disney World theme parks with a lineup that includes food and beverage offerings, ticket deals, exclusive pin trading, and special entertainment experiences designed with younger guests in mind.

New to the 2026 season is Jessie’s Roundup in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park, which joins returning favorites like GoofyCore at EPCOT, which transforms CommuniCore Hall into an interactive Goofy-themed playground each summer. Select Disney Resort hotels are also participating in Cool KIDS’ SUMMER programming this year.

Guests who want a complete picture of what’s available during their visit can grab a custom kid-themed guidemap at the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
