The pre-sale began with a waiting room opening at approximately 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time, with ticket sales starting no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. If pre-sale tickets have not sold out by the end of the day, the waiting room closes at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
Tomorrow, June 17, the pre-sale expands to all Magic Key holders across every tier, including Inspire, Believe, Explore, Enchant, and Imagine Key holders, with the same waiting room and ticket sale timing. For any Magic Key holder who has been planning an Oogie Boogie Bash visit this fall, tomorrow is the window to act before the general public gets access.
For all other guests, tickets go on sale on June 18, again with the waiting room opening at approximately 8:45 a.m. Pacific Time and sales beginning no earlier than 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Being in that waiting room when it opens on June 18 is not a suggestion for guests who want specific dates. It is a requirement, particularly for dates in October and for opening night on August 18.
What Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 Actually Includes
This year’s event runs on 33 separate nights across Disney California Adventure, the longest run the event has ever offered. The party kicks off August 18 and runs through Halloween night on October 31, with the event held on select nights, typically Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The extended calendar gives guests more options than in previous years, but popular dates will still sell out quickly and the flexibility that 33 nights suggests on paper should not translate into a relaxed approach to purchasing.
The event transforms Disney California Adventure into a full Halloween experience with trick-or-treat trails, rare villain character appearances, costumed hosts, ride overlays exclusive to the event, and the Villains Grove walkthrough experience that has become one of the most talked-about elements of any Disney Halloween offering. The immersive atmosphere of walking through a park populated by characters like Ernesto de la Cruz, Mother Gothel, and the Sanderson Sisters, in a limited-capacity environment, is the kind of experience that justifies the separately ticketed price point for guests who experience it.
One notable change for 2026 is that Mickey’s Frightfully Fun Parade will not be taking place this year due to construction in the area. The Broader Halloween Season at Disneyland Resort
Oogie Boogie Bash is part of a broader Halloween Time celebration at Disneyland Resort that transforms both parks beginning August 21 and running through October 31. The seasonal overlay includes Halloween decorations across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, Haunted Mansion Holiday, Monsters After Dark at Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout, themed food and merchandise, and Plaza de la Familia, the Dia de los Muertos celebration running August 21 through November 2 at Disney California Adventure. Guests who attend Oogie Boogie Bash during that window are experiencing the event at a resort operating at its seasonal peak.
For Magic Key holders, the window to buy ahead of the general public is June 16 and 17. For everyone else, June 18 is the date. Set an alarm, be in that waiting room when it opens, and have your preferred dates decided before you get in line.
