Walt Disney World Resort’s midyear holiday announcements delivered some disappointing news for longtime Disney Parks fans this week. Still, buried in the same wave of reveals was a Disney Resort hotel discount that takes some of the sting out of the changes.
The Disney World Discount Available to Everyone
Beginning Thursday, June 25, all guests can save up to 20% on select stays at Disney Resorts Collection hotels for the fall and holiday season. The discount applies to stays booked from October 4 through December 24, 2026 — covering both Walt Disney World Resort‘s Halloween and Christmas programming.
No special membership or subscription is required. Disney+ subscribers, Annual Passholders, Florida residents, and Disney Vacation Club members are all eligible, as is anyone else booking a qualifying stay during the promotional window. The offer goes live on Thursday and can be booked through Walt Disney World Resort’s official website.
More Savings for Specific Groups
While the base discount is available to all Walt Disney World Resort guests, certain travelers can stretch their savings further depending on their situation.
Disney+ subscribers enrolled in the free Disney+ Perks program can save up to 25% and receive a free Park Hopper add-on when purchasing a four-night, four-day room and ticket package. That enhanced offer is available for stays during four specific windows: September 25 through October 8, October 19 through 31, November 15 through 28, and December 13 through 24.
Florida residents also have access to a 25% discount, available for stays from October 19 through October 31, November 15 through November 28, and December 13 through December 24.
Annual Passholders get the deepest discount of the group: up to 30% off select rooms in the Disney Resorts Collection for stays from October 4 through December 24.
The Context Behind the Offer
The discount arrives alongside some unwelcome holiday news from Walt Disney World Resort this week. The life-size Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been officially retired after more than 25 years, and the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights will also not be returning to Magic Kingdom Park in 2026. The hotel discount may not replace those traditions, but it does give families planning a late-year Walt Disney World Resort vacation a tangible reason to book sooner rather than later.
