A poolside amenity at the Pixar Place Hotel has emerged from behind construction walls after more than a month out of service…only for Disneyland Resort guests to discover it still isn’t open.
The Walls Came Down, but the Signs Went Up
WDWNT reported on Tuesday that the construction barriers surrounding the hot tub area on the third-floor pool deck at the Pixar Place Hotel have been removed, finally revealing the results of a refurbishment that began in mid-May. The outlet shared a photo of the refreshed outdoor space, showing the large circular whirlpool beneath its permanent light canopy alongside what appear to be updated pool deck tiles, reinstalled light fixtures, and refreshed decorative elements throughout the surrounding area.
Guests arriving at the pool deck hoping to use the whirlpool are, however, being turned away. A sign posted near the filled hot tub informs guests that the amenity is “temporarily unavailable” and directs anyone looking for a reopening time to speak with a lifeguard on duty. Disneyland Resort has not provided a specific date for when the hot tub will return to service.
The rest of the pool deck remains fully accessible. The main Pixar Place Pool, the Pixar Shorts Court, and other surrounding amenities are all open and available to guests staying at the Disney Resort hotel.
Part of a Busy Year for Pool Refurbishments
The lingering hot tub closure wraps up an active stretch of pool-area maintenance at the Pixar Place Hotel. Earlier in 2026, Disneyland Resort completed separate refurbishments of the main Pixar Place Pool, Crush’s Surfin’ Slide, and the Nemo & Friends splash pad — all of which have since reopened. The hot tub project appears to be an independent effort from those earlier closures rather than a continuation of the same initiative.
Guests with questions about the current status of the hot tub or any other hotel amenity during their stay are encouraged to check with a lifeguard or stop by the Pixar Place Hotel front desk for the most current information.
