The countdown to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is rapidly approaching, and with each passing week, the excitement builds as the landscape of what attendees can expect in Anaheim this August becomes increasingly defined. Recently, Disney unveiled the highly anticipated panel schedule, providing fans an overview of the engaging discussions and presentations lined up for the weekend. Additionally, details about D23 Day at Disneyland are taking shape, hinting at special activities and experiences for ardent Disney enthusiasts.

On July 16, Disney revealed a significant highlight that has everyone buzzing: the exclusive experiences set to grace the show floor of the Anaheim Convention Center from August 14 through 16. The standout statistic that underscores this year’s event is that the show floor is the largest in D23’s history. This expansion indicates not only a variety of attractions but also an increased capacity for fans to immerse themselves in the magic of Disney.

While this growth is certainly thrilling, it comes with an important caveat. Attendees should prepare to cover considerable ground during the event, as the show floor is packed with dynamic pavilions, engaging walkthrough adventures, interactive photo zones, and a staggering lineup of more than 50 panels and presentations scheduled throughout the weekend. It’s clear that this year’s convention floor is designed with exploration in mind, encouraging visitors to fully engage rather than merely skim the surface.

To make the most of this extensive array of experiences, comfortable footwear and attire are not just casual suggestions; they are essential gear for survival during the event. Attendees can expect to be on their feet, navigating through a vibrant landscape of Disney magic that promises endless adventures and memories. Here’s a sneak peek of everything ticket holders can look forward to exploring during this monumental event.

Streaming, Animation, and a 4D Theater

The Disney+ Hulu Experience anchors the streaming side with a signature 4D theater, exclusive merchandise, and a collectible mystery pin quest, plus immersive photo ops pulled from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, FX’s American Horror Story, Camp Rock 3, The Simpsons, Only Murders in the Building, and Marvel Television’s VisionQuest.

The animation heavyweights are teaming up. Disney and Pixar Animation Studios share a massive joint pavilion celebrating Pixar’s 40th anniversary, with inside looks at upcoming films, including Disney’s Hexed, Frozen 3, and Pixar’s Gatto and Incredibles 3, as well as live artist demonstrations, filmmaker autograph signings, and exclusive giveaways. Mundo Pixar offers a preview of the globally touring life-size exhibition with larger-than-life photo moments, and The Simpsons Movie booth celebrates the film’s September 3, 2027 release with shareable photo ops.

Marvel, Star Wars, and a TVA Recruitment Drive

Marvel Studios brings The TVA Experience: Your Next Assignment, a walkthrough adventure that recruits fans into the Time Variance Authority and sends them across familiar and brand-new worlds of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Next door in spirit, the Lucasfilm Pavilion assembles a gallery of props, costumes, and photo ops from current and upcoming Star Wars stories, along with intimate fireside chats with filmmaking teams and a special screening of LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian at the convention center.

Parks Fans Get the Biggest Imagineering Pavilion Ever at D23

For the theme park faithful, two experiences stand out. Disney Experiences presents Imagineering: Horizons, the largest parks pavilion in D23 history, where Walt Disney Imagineering showcases the progress shaping Disney parks around the world with an up-close look at the people and process behind it.

Then there is the one history buffs will line up for: Walt Disney Archives: Uncrated. For the first time ever, the Archives opens a window into its vast hidden warehouses, spaces previously restricted to archivists alone, with themed displays of recently uncrated props, costumes, and puppets spanning generations of Disney history.

Pandora, Bluey, and Recording Your Own Radio Segment

The interactive lineup runs deep. The Avatar Experience walks guests through a bioluminescent Pandora, featuring a 4D moment and an art gallery. Bluey and Bingo meet fans at The Bluey Movie booth at select times, with reservations required. ESPN’s Super Bowl activation delivers stadium photo ops, a confetti victory celebration, and an exclusive pin. Disney Theatrical Group displays authentic Broadway sets and costumes with live presentations hosted by Ryan McCartan, and the Disney Music Group booth lets fans record their own Be Our Guest radio segment, some of which will air on the Disney Hits SiriusXM channel.

Disney Consumer Products adds Lights, Camera, Sparkle!, two themed photo zones that cover a snack-inspired Mickey & Friends world and a glittering tribute to Stitch and Angel’s “Glitter Glide” music video. And the Disney VoluntEARS pavilion invites attendees to help assemble 8,000 charity kits per day, wish kits with Make-A-Wish on Friday, welcome kits for military families with Blue Star Families on Saturday, and activity kits for hospitalized children with the Starlight Children’s Foundation on Sunday.

Plan the D23 Floor Like a Park Day

The smart play is to treat this show floor exactly like a theme park: set priorities, map the must-dos, book the Blueyreservation early, and accept that seeing everything in one day is a fantasy. The reservation-required experiences and limited screenings will fill up fast, and the shopping opportunities alone could take up an afternoon.

Mostly, though, dress for the mileage. The largest show floor in D23 history is a flex worth celebrating and a warning worth heeding. Bring the comfortable shoes, pack the light layers, and let the step counter brag for you when the weekend is over.
