Labor Day weekend is officially your last chance to experience Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon before it closes its gates indefinitely. Starting Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the popular tropical water park will shut down for an extended seasonal refurbishment. Final Operating Hours for Labor Day Weekend
For guests in Central Florida looking to catch one final wave, Typhoon Lagoon will operate on its regular schedule through Tuesday, September 8, before shutting down on September 9:
- Friday, September 4: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 5: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Final Disney H2O Glow After Hours event from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.)
- Sunday, September 6: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Monday, September 7 (Labor Day): 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 8: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Final operating day)
- Wednesday, September 9: CLOSED INDEFINITELY
The Free Check-In Water Park Perk Ends September 8
In addition to the park closure, Disney Resort hotel guests face another major deadline. Disney’s popular summer promotion—offering free water park admission on check-in day—officially expires after September 8.
- Arrivals through September 8: Eligible resort guests checking in on or before September 8 can still claim free arrival-day entry to either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.
- Arrivals September or after September 9: The free check-in perk ends. Guests arriving on or after September 9 will not receive free water park entry—even though Blizzard Beach remains open—and must purchase standard admission.
Single-Park Operations Return to Disney World
Typhoon Lagoon’s shuttering brings a sudden end to Disney’s summer season of dual-water park operations. On May 12, 2026, Disney opened both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach concurrently for the first time in years. Starting September 9, Disney World returns to its single-park rotation model, leaving Blizzard Beach to handle all water park visitors through the fall and winter months.
