Guests with a sweet tooth have something to look forward to at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, where a popular treat from a longtime Discovery Island bar is about to become much easier to grab. Walt Disney World Resort says the change is coming to Nomad Lounge soon, though it isn’t live yet.
A Fan-Favorite Goes Mobile
Nomad Lounge, the bar beside Tiffin’s Restaurant on Discovery Island, has been a hit with Central Florida Disney Parks fans for a decade. More than anything on the menu, its Gluten-Free Churros have earned a loyal following. But until now, anyone who wanted the fried, cinnamon-sugar snack had to sit down and dine at the lounge.

That is about to change. Walt Disney World Resort announced that churros will soon be available through Mobile Ordering in the My Disney Experience app, allowing guests to take them to-go rather than settle in for a full visit.
How to Order To-Go From Nomad Lounge
The Gluten-Free Churros cost $11 and arrive with two dipping sauces: Vanilla Crema and Apple Butter. To place an order, guests select “Nomad Lounge To Go” in the Mobile Ordering section of the app.
From there, the process works like this:
- Choose an Arrival Window.
- Add as many churros as you like.
- Apply your preferred payment method.
- Stop by Nomad Lounge to pick up the order. The app may prompt you to tap “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” once your Arrival Window begins.
Arrival Windows are limited, so ordering ahead is smart rather than waiting until the last minute. Guests also need a valid admission ticket and, if applicable, a Disney Park Pass Reservation for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park to collect their order.
What’s Not on the Mobile Ordering Menu
Only the Gluten-Free Churros will be offered through the app. Guests who want specialty beverages or other small bites from the Discovery Island location will still need to visit in person. Nomad Lounge doesn’t accept reservations and is walk-up only.
Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t announced a launch date for Mobile Ordering at Nomad Lounge, only saying it should arrive soon.
