Magic Kingdom Park: Exciting New Additions in 2025
Magic Kingdom continues to be the heart of Walt Disney World Resort, and 2025 brings even more magic with thrilling attractions, returning experiences, and exciting updates.
Walt Disney World Railroad
The iconic Walt Disney World Railroad resumed operations in 2023, following its closure in 2018 for the construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run.
However, the train is now operating in “shuttle mode” between Fantasyland and Main Street, U.S.A. The Frontierland station is closed for the construction of a Disney Villains land “beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad” and Piston Peak National Park, a new part of Frontierland inspired by Cars (2006).
If you haven’t hopped on yet, it’s time to take a ride!
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away
The Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away nighttime parade premiered at Magic Kingdom Park on July 20, 2025. Check the daily entertainment schedule for performance times during your visit!
Note: Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away won’t perform on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights.
The Beak And Barrel
Yo-Ho! A family-friendly lounge inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction will debut in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park later this year. This dining location will serve cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and small bites.
Watch here for details about advance reservations, which are highly recommended.
EPCOT: A Park Transformed
2025 saw the end of the major transformation that EPCOT has been undergoing for years.
GEO-82 Lounge
GEO-82, an adults-only lounge inspired by Spaceship Earth, opened at EPCOT in June 2025. This luxurious bar features premier cocktails, elegant small plates, and exclusive viewing of the Luminous The Symphony of Us fireworks.
Space is limited, so make your reservation as soon as possible.
Test Track 3.0
On July 22, the reimagined Test Track presented by General Motors premiered in the World Discovery neighborhood at EPCOT. This modernized version of the classic attraction brings thrilling fun for the whole family!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Thrills and Fun for All
Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to shine in 2025, with returning favorites and exciting new experiences.
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After
The all-new Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After show premiered in the Sunset Showcase at Disney’s Hollywood Studios earlier this year. Join Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and their nefarious friends for an interactive, unforgettable experience!
Check the daily entertainment schedule or the My Disney Experience app for showtimes.
The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure
A reimagined version of the decades-old Voyage of the Little Mermaid show premiered in the Animation Courtyard earlier this year. Join Ariel and her friends for an “Under the Sea” adventure!
Check the daily entertainment schedule or the My Disney Experience app for showtimes.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Changes and New Experiences
While Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park may not have as many new attractions in 2025, the park is undergoing some significant updates.
Earlier this year, much of DinoLand U.S.A. closed to make way for Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas-inspired land featuring Encanto (2021) and Indiana Jones attractions. DINOSAUR will remain open through early 2026.
Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
Earlier this year, It’s Tough To Be A Bug! played its final show inside the Tree of Life. Later this year, the brand-new 3D show “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” will debut in its place.
The attraction will feature a new song performed by Ginnifer Goodwin (the original voice of Judy Hopps), and concept art suggests that it will include an advanced Clawhauser audio-animatronic.
Although an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the premiere is expected to coincide with the release of Zootopia 2 (2025).
Water Park Fun at Walt Disney World Resort in 2025
In addition to the four theme parks, Walt Disney World Resort announced that Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park would be open simultaneously for the first time since 2019.
Starting May 21, 2025, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are open for guests to enjoy. Disney Resort hotel guests even get free water park entry on check-in day!
If you plan to visit the water parks in fall or winter 2025, check the Walt Disney World Resort website for refurbishment closure information.
