At Disneyland in California, there’s about to be a huge change. Mickey’s Toontown will begin its transformation and focus on families with young children. The current Mickey’s Tune Town will be closing beginning March 9, 2022, and will reopen in early 2023 alongside the new attraction Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
You will still have some of your favorite attractions when this land reopens, including Rodger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Mickey’s House, and Minnie’s House. Other attractions will be reimagined, including Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House, and Donald’s Boat.

If you want to see Mickey’s Toontown as it is now, you still have a little more time. Make sure you visit between now and March 8. You are still required to have a Park Pass Reservation to enter both Disneyland and California Adventure.

If you were sad about not being able to be at Mickey’s Toontown for a little while, there are still many exciting things to do at Disneyland in California. If you have never checked out Avengers Campus, you are in for a treat. WEB-SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is an interactive ride, unlike anything you’ve done before.
Radiator Springs Racers is similar to Test Track at Walt Disney World but a different theme. If you are a fan of the movie Cars (2006), you will love this. At the end you even race another car and hopefully take home a victory.
Although some rides at Disneyland are similar to ones at Walt Disney World, there are still many differences. For example, Space Mountain is extremely different at Disneyland than Walt Disney World. There are very strong opinions on which is better, but you’ll have to decide that for yourself.
So what are you waiting for? Plan your trip to Disneyland to see Mickey’s Toontown as you know it now one last time.
