Guests arriving at Disneyland Paris Resort this week were caught off guard as parts of Adventureland suddenly became inaccessible. Without prior announcement, Disney installed large construction walls throughout one of the park’s most popular lands, blocking access to key walkways and sections of the themed area.

Disneyland Paris Resort has been undergoing a series of construction and refurbishment projects in recent months, with work taking place across both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. The resort has also been upgrading Disney Village and several Disney Resort hotels as part of a multi-year transformation initiative.

While much of the work has been previously announced, guests were surprised to find new blockades appear in Adventureland this week with no official notice. The affected area is located near Au Chalet de la Marionnette, a Quick-Service restaurant near the route between Fantasyland and Adventureland. Although the restaurant remains open, the surrounding path has been closed off, leaving guests unable to pass through a portion of one of the park’s most frequently traveled shortcuts.

On Monday, October 27, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos of the new construction walls, showing parts of the area completely blocked to Disney Park guests.

These new walls appear to expand on a previous construction zone that began in September, when crews began work near the same location. Disneyland Paris Resort has not confirmed the details of the current project or when the area will reopen.

The Adventureland closures are part of a broader refurbishment effort spanning the entire European Disney Resort. At Walt Disney Studios Park, crews continue to work on transforming the property into Disney Adventure World, a massive expansion that will introduce the World of Frozen area, based on Frozen (2013), and a new The Lion King (1994)-themed land. The new version of the park (and the World of Frozen) will officially debut in spring 2026.

Meanwhile, smaller projects continue across Disney Village and the Disney Resort hotels, including the addition of a new McDonald’s location and updates to two Starbucks stores.
