After 61 Years, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room Is for Sale

If you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of Disney magic, now might be your chance—though it’s not exactly what you might think. An extravagant Utah mansion has recently made waves online, featuring a replica of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, a landmark attraction that has delighted guests for decades. For $34.5 million, you could own a 70,000-square-foot home complete with this Disney-inspired treasure.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room: A Piece of Disney History

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room first opened in Disneyland Park in 1963, making it one of the longest-standing attractions at the park. It was groundbreaking for its use of audio-animatronics technology, which would later become a staple in Disney attractions worldwide. The Tiki Room was originally envisioned as a dinner show, complete with a coffee station, which was later transformed into the show’s “magic” fountain. Interestingly, this attraction was the first air-conditioned building at Disneyland Park, designed to handle the extreme heat generated by the animatronics’ computer technology.

After its success at Disneyland Resort, the Enchanted Tiki Room inspired versions in other Disney parks, including Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort and Tokyo Disneyland at Tokyo Disney Resort. Tokyo Disneyland even gave its version a fun twist by retheming it to The Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents Aloha e Komo Mai!, based on the movie Lilo & Stitch (2002).

The Utah Mansion’s Tiki Room Replica

For those with $34.5 million to spare, you can now buy a home in Utah that includes a replica of this iconic Disney Park attraction. The mansion features a 10-bedroom, 18-bathroom layout with some truly bizarre additions, including a movie theater and an entire section designed to resemble the entrance to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. The mansion even has resident birds, mimicking the animatronic creatures that have entertained Disney Park guests for years. While much of the house is relatively normal, this Disney-inspired section certainly sets it apart.

The Zillow listing for this mansion in Hyrum, Utah, went viral on Instagram after @seth.hollingsworth shared a video of the unusual property.

Locals from Hyrum shared the backstory of the mansion, revealing that it was originally intended as a family reunion destination. Each family in the extended group was meant to design their own wing of the house. Unfortunately, the project was left unfinished due to unforeseen financial issues, and the mansion is now up for sale.

While this quirky mansion isn’t exactly a theme park attraction, it does offer a slice of Disney history for anyone willing to make the purchase. Whether you’re a Disney fan or simply looking for a one-of-a-kind mansion, this Utah property offers an opportunity to own something truly unique.
