After a Wave of Closures, One Disney Springs Store Is Staying Put

It’s been a tough year for Disney Springs. The shopping, dining, and entertainment district at Walt Disney World is usually known for its constant stream of exciting openings, celebrity chef restaurants, and trendy new shops. But in 2026, guests have also had to say goodbye to a long list of familiar spots. Every few weeks, it seems like another store or restaurant has announced it’s closing, leaving fans wondering what’s next.

This year alone, Disney Springs has seen closures including Sprinkles, Francesca’s, Shore, Johnston & Murphy, the Exposition Park food trucks, Wolfgang Puck, and a few spots inside the Co-op Marketplace. For guests who had favorite places to shop or grab a bite, those losses have been hard to watch. Some shoppers have even started to worry about which of their go-to stores might disappear next.

That’s why this latest news is a welcome change. Levi’s at Disney Springs isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s getting an upgrade. A new permit has been filed for a remodel of the Levi’s store in Town Center, which means the popular denim brand appears to be investing in its Disney Springs location rather than leaving. Here’s what we know about the Levi’s remodel and how it fits into a year of big changes at Disney Springs.

A Year of Goodbyes at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is always evolving, but this year has felt especially busy when it comes to closures. Some of the spots guests have said goodbye to in 2026 include:

  • Sprinkles
  • Francesca’s
  • Shore
  • Johnston & Murphy
  • Exposition Park food trucks
  • Wolfgang Puck
  • A few locations in the Co-op Marketplace

Each closure leaves a gap, and for frequent visitors, it can feel like the Disney Springs they know is changing fast.

Some New Arrivals, Too

It hasn’t been all bad news. A few new experiences have popped up around Disney Springs as well. Kawaii Slime Company recently opened in the Marketplace in the spot that used to hold the face painting kiosk, adding a DIY slime station for kids. And over at Trend-D, a new build-your-own Charmed in the Park station lets guests design custom bag charms and bracelets.

Still, for many guests, it’s reassuring to see a familiar brand like Levi’s committing to stay.

Levi’s Remodel Permit Filed

According to a new permit, Levi Strauss has filed for work at its Disney Springs Town Center location. The permit describes the project as a “Tenant Remodel.”

Levi’s has hired Salt Construction Management, a Boston-based company, to handle the work.

As is typical, the permit expires in one year.

What Will Change at Levi’s?

Right now, the details are limited. The permit doesn’t share specific design plans, so it’s not yet clear what the remodeled store will look like.

A remodel could mean anything from a fresh new layout to updated displays or a modern design refresh. Whatever the changes are, it’s a good sign that Levi’s sees value in its Disney Springs location.

Will Levi’s Close During the Remodel?

There’s no official word on whether the store will close while the work takes place.

At the moment, the Levi’s page on the Disney Springs website lists operating hours through Friday, January 15, 2027. There are no hours listed after that date, but that’s also true for other Disney Springs stores that don’t have any planned closures. It’s likely the calendar simply hasn’t been updated yet.

If you’re hoping to shop at Levi’s during an upcoming trip, it’s a good idea to check the Disney Springs website before you go.

Why This Is Good News for Disney Springs

After so many closures, a remodel is a refreshing change. It shows that some brands are still investing in Disney Springs and planning for the long term.

Levi’s is a well-known name with fans of all ages, and its Town Center location gives guests a chance to shop for denim and apparel during their Walt Disney World vacation. A refreshed store could make it an even more appealing stop.

What This Means for Shoppers

If you’re a Levi’s fan, there’s no need to worry about losing the store. Instead, you can look forward to a refreshed shopping experience in the future.

Here are a few tips for shoppers:

  • Check hours before visiting. Store hours are currently listed through January 15, 2027.
  • Watch for updates. More details about the remodel could be shared soon.
  • Shop now if you need something. If the store temporarily closes for work, you’ll want to get your shopping done first.
  • Explore other new spots. While you’re there, check out some of the newer additions around Disney Springs.

A Brighter Note for Disney Springs

It’s been a rough year for Disney Springs, with plenty of closures that have left fans feeling uneasy. But the Levi’s remodel is a reminder that not every change is a goodbye. Sometimes, it’s an upgrade.

As Disney Springs continues to evolve, it’ll be interesting to see what other changes are on the way and which new shops and restaurants will help fill the spaces left behind.
