Crescent Lake sits just outside of EPCOT’s back entrance, surrounded by Disney’s Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan, and Dolphin Resorts. With a variety of eating, drinking, and entertainment options, it’s a great place to spend a non-park day, a free evening, or grab a meal as you move between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Since there are so many great restaurants to choose from, we’ve saved you some time by putting together the 8 best eats around Crescent Lake!
1. The best way to start your day – Pastries
If you’re looking to spend the morning at Crescent Lake, make a reservation at Trattoria Al Forno for their Bon Voyage Breakfast. No matter what you decide to order for your main course, you’ll be delighted by the selection of delicious fresh assorted pastries that magically appear at your table!
2. The best option if you need to eat and run – Pizza
While there are plenty of places to sit down for a casual or classy meal, sometimes you just want to grab something quick between parks or on the way back to your hotel room. Enter the Pizza Window, which is exactly what the name implies. With options for individual or large pies, this is also the cheapest way to feed a hungry family! There are some tables and chairs, but you can also easily take your pizza back to your room or have a picnic on the nearby lawn.
3. The best date night destination – Flying Fish
This upscale Boardwalk favorite has the perfect combination of ambiance and quality. Flying Fish features delicious appetizers and entrees from both land and sea, creative hand crafted cocktails, and whimsical desserts.
4. The best dessert – Beaches and Cream
Decades ago when I was a kid, Beaches and Cream was our favorite secret spot at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Over time the secret got out, and it’s now one of the hardest places to get an Advanced Dining Reservation in all of Walt Disney World! Luckily, they have a to-go ice cream window for when you can’t get a reservation. Getting a table or a seat at the counter offers a larger selection of delectable desserts, but there’s not much than can beat taking a waffle cone down to the beach, so you win either way.
5. The best steak – Shulas
Located at Disney’s Dolphin Hotel, Shula’s is consistently touted as the best steakhouse in all of Orlando. You will not be disappointed by anything on the menu here, and you definitely will need to walk a couple laps around Crescent Lake afterwards! The one thing Shula’s is lacking is a Disney feel. It’s a non-Disney owned restaurant and looks and feels just like a Shula’s in another city.
6. The other best steak – Yachtsman Steakhouse
The Yachtsman Steakhouse, located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, is often edged out in the ratings by Shula’s. It’s a close second, and if you’d prefer a more unique and Disney feel, then the Yachtsman is the easy choice. Another thing that elevates Yachtsman for many visitors is that it accepts the Disney Dining Plan.
7. The best Quick Service – Hurricane Hannah’s
This tiny hut serves up burgers, coconut shrimp, hummus, and a variety of other meals and snacks to pool goers at Stormalong Bay, the epic swimming area at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Luckily though, it’s located just outside the pool area and accessible to anyone strolling by. It’s a great place to grab a quick lunch, which you can take down to the beach to enjoy on a lounge chair or swing. Adults also might want to try one of their tasty frozen beverages!
8. The best bar food – ESPN Club
This sports bar is known for the experience it offer, including dozens of tvs and regular live broadcasts of radio shows. But if you’re looking to sit down for some typical bar food, this is also the place to go. The fries, onion rings, and chicken tenders will not disappoint! The menu is pretty large, so even the health nuts in your party will find something they like.
