Imagineering Legend Shares the Best Way to Get Around Walt Disney World

Considering using an ECV during your next Walt Disney World vacation? If you do not already have a scooter of your own, you can always rent an ECV at each Park during your trip. Many Guests, however, opt to rent a scooter from an outside company as doing so can often be less expensive than renting each day in the Parks, and this gives you the ability to have your scooter with you at your Resort and wherever else you may go during your trip to Central Florida.

No one knows Disney Parks better than the Imagineers, and one legend behind some of Disney’s most iconic attractions has recently shared his tips for getting around with an ECV.

Walt Disney Imagineering Legend Bob Gurr is most known for his design work on several of the most iconic ride vehicles and attractions at Disneyland, including Autopia, the Matterhorn Bobsleds, and the monorail system, just to name a few. Throughout the course of his 40-year career with the Walt Disney Company, he created over 100 original designs. Gurr was inducted as a Disney Legend in 2004.

These days, Gurr might technically be retired, but he still spends much of his time interacting with Disney fans, creating models, and visiting Disney Parks. The legendary creator even got his very first tattoo in honor of one of his designs at the age of 90 years young last year.
