Disney is facing backlash yet again. The Walt Disney Company created Disney Parks for happiness, equality, and enjoyment for all ages. With that comes some controversy and many opinions from Disney fans. Disney has previously been accused of grooming children by pushing its agendas onto them via entertainment and the Parks.

Fans with a more conservative outlook are having a hard time with some of Disney’s decisions. But conversate fans are not the only ones, as Disney and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis entered a nasty battle in court over similar issues. Although parts of the lawsuit have nothing to do with the matter, a majority of it comes after the opposition to DeSantis’ “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Previous CEO Bob Chapek reacted to the bill, which began the battle between Disney and DeSantis.

Disney may be battling another issue with fans as a Disney advertisement debuts on TikTok.

Disney Style’s most recent post is posing as controversial for many conservative Disney fans. TikTok user Seann Altman posts videos dressing up as different characters. His bio reads, “I play dress up” on TikTok, which is portrayed in a recent video of him dressing up as Minnie Mouse. Altman pairs a red dress with Minnie Mouse designs, black tights, yellow high heels, and of course, the infamous red bow to tie it all together.

The TikTok was reposted to Disney Style’s TikTok page, commenting on his video “As iconic as Minnie herself.” Conservative columnist Todd Starnes published an article including the video stating, “Disney is not trying very hard to distance itself from accusations that it’s grooming children.” While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Disney has tried to be as inclusive as possible as a company and within the Parks. The core feature of The Walt Disney Company is what makes so many people feel loved and included when visiting the most magical place on earth.

With plenty of mixed reviews on TikTok and overall thoughts about Disney’s efforts, Disney continues to support the LGBTQIA+ community amongst the chatter. Posting this TikTok further shows their thoughts on being inclusive to all different styles of fashion as well as all walks of life.
