Disney Confirms July 14 EPCOT Private Takeover With $349 Admission Price

EPCOT guests are used to seeing private events pop up throughout the year, but Disney has now confirmed one of its most exclusive offerings yet—and it comes with a price tag that is turning heads.

The event isn’t a buyout of an entire pavilion, nor does it appear to be one of the large corporate gatherings that occasionally take over sections of the park after hours. Instead, Disney and D23 are offering a highly curated experience inside EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion that combines food, drinks, collectibles, and Disney history into a single afternoon package.

The catch? Guests will need to spend hundreds of dollars just for the event itself, and that’s before paying for admission to EPCOT.

With tickets going on sale June 12, Disney fans now have just over a month to decide whether the experience is worth the premium cost.

A $349 Experience Inside the Mexico Pavilion

Disney has announced “The Mexico Pavilion: A Taste of History – A D23 Experience at EPCOT,” a special event scheduled for July 14, 2026. The experience is limited to D23 Gold Members and carries a ticket price of $349 per person, plus a processing fee. Guests must also purchase a separate EPCOT admission, as park entry is not included.

That pricing immediately places the event among the more expensive Disney fan experiences offered outside of major conventions and destination events.

For many guests, the total cost could easily approach or exceed $500 per person once park admission, transportation, food outside the event, and other vacation expenses are factored in.

The event will run from approximately 12:45 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. and focuses heavily on the history, culture, and culinary offerings of the Mexico Pavilion.

What Guests Receive for the Price

The experience is divided into three separate components.

The afternoon begins with a private tasting at La Cava del Tequila led by Tequila Ambassador Humberto Soto. Participants will sample six premium agave spirits ranging from blanco tequilas to aged selections and mezcal while enjoying chips and guacamole. Guests will also receive an exclusive “Agave Connoisseur Club” pin and a commemorative tequila cocktail glass created by Arribas Brothers.

Following the tasting, attendees move into a cocktail-focused portion of the event where they will be among the first guests to sample two specialty beverages.

One of those drinks, called The Aztec Eagle, was developed in collaboration with the Walt Disney Archives and commemorates Walt Disney receiving Mexico’s Order of the Aztec Eagle award during a 1943 visit to Mexico. The second cocktail celebrates the 17th anniversary of La Cava del Tequila. Guests also receive a stainless-steel beverage sphere etched with the number “23.”

The event concludes with a multi-course lunch at San Angel Inn.

Disney says the meal will showcase dishes inspired by the restaurant’s history, dating back to EPCOT’s opening in 1982 and even earlier roots tied to the original Mexico City location. Guests will select an appetizer, entrée, and dessert from a special menu and receive a margarita based on the original recipe served at the Mexico City restaurant. As an added keepsake, attendees will take home a replica of the original 1982 San Angel Inn menu.

Will the Mexico Pavilion Close to Other Guests?

At this point, that remains one of the biggest unanswered questions.

Disney has not announced any pavilion-wide closures associated with the event, and there is currently no indication that the Mexico Pavilion itself will become inaccessible to regular EPCOT visitors.

In fact, one notable sign suggests at least some normal operations will continue. Guests can still make dining reservations at San Angel Inn on the event date, which indicates the restaurant is not expected to close entirely for the private gathering.

That doesn’t necessarily mean there won’t be restricted areas or temporary limitations inside portions of the pavilion. Disney has hosted similar experiences in the past while maintaining normal guest access to surrounding areas.

For now, guests planning a July 14 visit should expect the Mexico Pavilion to remain open, though some sections could be utilized by event participants throughout the afternoon.

Another Example of Disney’s Growing Premium Offerings

The event also reflects Disney’s continued push toward premium, limited-capacity experiences aimed at dedicated fans willing to pay for exclusivity.

Over the past several years, Disney has expanded its lineup of separately ticketed offerings, from after-hours events to VIP tours and specialized fan experiences. This latest EPCOT event fits squarely into that strategy.

The combination of exclusive cocktails, collectible merchandise, historical presentations, and limited attendance creates a package designed for a niche audience rather than the average vacationing family.

Whether the $349 price point proves attractive remains to be seen, but Disney clearly believes there is demand among D23 members looking for something beyond a typical day in the parks.

With tickets becoming available June 12 and the event taking place just one month later on July 14, interested fans won’t have much time to decide whether this premium EPCOT experience belongs on their summer Disney itinerary.
