Starting October 1, 2026, the historic nightclub will close its doors to general walk-in guests and transition exclusively into a private event space. However, night owls and resort visitors will not be left empty-handed. On the same day Atlantic Dance Hall pivots to private bookings, Disney will celebrate the grand opening of Hurly-Burly, a brand-new dual-concept lounge and cabaret venue replacing the former Jellyrolls dueling piano bar right next door.
Farewell to Public Nights at Atlantic Dance Hall
For nearly thirty years, Atlantic Dance Hall has stood as an architectural landmark along Crescent Lake. Modeled after an elegant 1930s coastal dance hall, the two-story venue featured sweeping waterfront views, a spacious dance floor, and a nostalgic atmosphere for late-night resort guests. Operating primarily on weekend evenings for guests ages 21 and older, it remained one of the few dedicated adult dance venues on Walt Disney World property.
Disney’s latest update officially brings that public era to a close. The venue will host its final regular public operating nights from September 25 through September 27, 2026. Beginning October 1, 2026, Atlantic Dance Hall will cease all walk-in public operations and transition entirely into an exclusive venue reserved for weddings, corporate galas, and special functions.
While losing a public nightspot marks a notable shift for long-time visitors, transitioning Atlantic Dance Hall to full-time private bookings allows Disney to meet high demand for event venues near EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Spotlight on Hurly-Burly: The BoardWalk’s Newest Destination
Taking center stage on October 1, 2026, is Hurly-Burly, a vibrant new entertainment lounge that will take over the former Jellyrolls location. Reimagined inside and out, Hurly-Burly combines 1920s vaudeville charm, daily live entertainment, shareable boardwalk bites, and craft mixology.
- 1920s Vaudeville Aesthetics: The exterior features a bright turquoise finish, crisp white trim, bold red scalloped awnings, and an illuminated vintage bulb marquee. Imagineering’s backstory envisions the lounge as a restored turn-of-the-century coastal theater.
- Dual-Concept Hours: Hurly-Burly serves two distinct audiences throughout the day. From 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., it operates as a family-friendly lounge welcoming guests of all ages for trivia, interactive games, and light bites. At 9:00 p.m., it transitions to an age-restricted policy for ages 21 and older, featuring live cabaret performances, live music, and rotating genres until 1:00 a.m.
- “Drinks Here!” Walk-Up Window: Guests strolling along Crescent Lake can grab craft cocktails, draft beers, and specialty drinks on the go from a dedicated exterior walk-up window.
- Food & Craft Cocktails: The menu spotlights shareable plates like Meatballs in Tomato Gravy, Roast Beef Sliders, Tomato Pie, Mini Pretzels with Bacon-Cheese Fondue, and Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts. Drinks feature prohibition-era spirits, including “The Mertini,” “Overproof Amaretto Sour,” and “La Taquilla Picante.”
