Just days ahead of the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase—the marquee “Parks Panel” hosted this year at the Honda Center—Disney released a sneak peek of the massive stage. But eagle-eyed EPCOT purists quickly noticed that this wasn’t just a simple venue preview. Packed with distinct colors, character silhouettes, and undeniable catchphrases, Disney appears to be teasing a total overhaul of the Journey Into Imagination with Figment attraction, potentially signaling the triumphant return of the original Dreamfinder.
The Honda Center Stage Clues Explained
The massive clues pointing toward a potential Figment announcement are hiding in plain sight. Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum recently posed for a photograph alongside celebrity host Neil Patrick Harris in front of the sweeping D23 stage. While the arena’s scale is impressive, the background graphics immediately stole the show.
On the left side of the photograph, the massive screens display shapes and colors, along with a silhouette that unmistakably resembles the classic Dreamfinder figure holding his signature purple dragon.
If the visual silhouette was not enough, Disney followed it up with a companion promotional video featuring Harris. In the clip, the host excitedly exclaims, “I’ve got it!” using a very specific theatrical cadence. This is the exact, memorable catchphrase used by Dreamfinder in the original 1983 version of the attraction. Furthermore, he recently narrated the official “How Not to Draw with Figment” animated short for Disney. If Chairman Thomas Mazloum and Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro are finally green-lighting an Imagination Pavilion overhaul, there is no better person to unveil it on a massive stage.
