Every year, millions of guests drive to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort for their respective Disney park vacations. Each location offers a unique assortment of attractions that are waiting for guests to enjoy after their long journeys are over. While the resorts do offer a variety of transportation options, many guests choose to park when visiting Disney.

Arriving at Disney
Parking at Disneyland Resort can be a convenient or challenging experience, depending on the day and time of your visit. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a good parking spot and avoid long walks to the park entrance. Keep in mind that there are several parking options available, including the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure, the Pixar Pals Parking Structure, and the Toy Story Parking Area.
All of these parking options offer convenient access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Adding another level of convenience, Disney also offers charging options for guests who drive electric vehicles. While many guests commend Disney for this convenient access, others have noticed that the service is often misused.
Oftentimes, guests with electric vehicles leave their cars in these charging spots all day while they are inside the parks. This makes it difficult for drivers to charge their cars if they need to. In an effort to combat this, Disney has allegedly implemented a new fee that will hopefully eliminate this practice.

Disney Reportedly Implements ‘Idle Fee’
One guest is reporting that a cast member has informed them of a new “idle fee” that will incur if guests leave their electric vehicles parked in a charging spot after charging as completed.
We have just been notified that Disneyland electric vehicle charging stations now charge an idle fee if you leave your car parked after it's fully charged. 🤔 It's a good thing Disney makes it very convenient to get to and from your car. Not on prop, today, anyone else to verify?

As of now, this claim has not been verified by another source. If this fee were to be implemented, it is easy to assume that more than a few fans would be upset with this ruling. Leaving the theme park to move your car in the middle of the day is far from convenient for guests.

Is this typical of EV owners that they feel entitled to take up a charging station ALL DAYsuch that other drivers are prevented from charging their vehicle? Seems Disney is trying to accommodate more of their guests than just the selfish few who are fortunate to get the first spots!
