The holiday season is officially returning to Walt Disney World, and one of the resort’s most popular special events is once again taking center stage. Disney has confirmed that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return to Magic Kingdom in 2026, bringing back festive entertainment, holiday treats, character encounters, and exclusive experiences that have become annual traditions for many guests.

For Disney fans, the announcement marks the beginning of holiday planning season. The event has grown into one of the most sought-after ticketed experiences at Walt Disney World, with many dates selling out weeks or even months in advance. While much of the entertainment lineup remains familiar, guests will notice a few notable changes this year, particularly when it comes to ticket pricing and event timing.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Runs Through November and December
Disney will host Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on 25 select nights between November 8 and December 22, 2026. The event schedule stretches across both November and December, giving guests multiple opportunities to experience Magic Kingdom during the holiday season.
This year’s schedule closely mirrors the 2025 event calendar. However, there are a couple of differences. The party begins one day later than it did in 2025, but it also extends an extra day further into December. That means guests have another opportunity to visit before Christmas arrives.

Like previous years, the party officially runs from 7:00 p.m. until midnight. Ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m., allowing several hours of park time before the holiday festivities officially begin. One of the biggest advantages of the event remains that guests do not need a separate theme park ticket or park reservation. The party admission itself grants access to the park during those evening hours.
Ticket Prices Continue Their Upward Trend
While Disney is keeping the overall structure of the event largely the same, ticket prices are moving higher once again.
For 2026, admission ranges from $189 to $229 per person before tax, depending on the selected date. The highest price remains unchanged from last year, but the lowest-priced tickets have increased significantly. In 2025, guests could purchase some early November party dates for as little as $169. This year, the lowest entry point climbs to $189, representing a $20 increase at the bottom end of the pricing scale.

Children between the ages of 3 and 9 receive a $10 discount compared to adult pricing. Disney is also continuing its discount program for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members, who can save $10 per ticket on select event nights throughout parts of November and early December.
The steady rise in pricing reflects the event’s continued popularity. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party consistently attracts large crowds during the holiday season, and many dates traditionally sell out before the festivities begin. Even with higher costs, demand has shown little sign of slowing down in recent years.
When Guests Can Purchase Tickets
Disney is once again giving resort guests an early opportunity to secure tickets before the general public.
Guests staying at eligible Walt Disney World Resort hotels can begin purchasing tickets on July 9, 2026, for party nights that occur during their vacation stay. Everyone else will have access beginning July 16, 2026.
The early purchase window applies to guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and Shades of Green.

Because tickets are sold in limited quantities, Disney encourages guests to purchase early. Popular dates, particularly those closer to Christmas week, often disappear first.
Holiday Entertainment Returns
One of the biggest draws of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party remains its exclusive entertainment lineup, and Disney is bringing back many guest favorites for 2026.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will once again travel through Magic Kingdom. The parade features beloved Disney characters dressed in festive costumes, toy soldiers, gingerbread men, and a special appearance by Santa Claus. For many guests, the parade serves as the centerpiece of the evening.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will also return to Cinderella Castle. The nighttime spectacular combines fireworks, projection effects, and holiday music to create one of the most festive entertainment offerings anywhere at Walt Disney World.

Meanwhile, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration will once again take over the castle stage. The live performance features music, dancing, and appearances from several Disney characters, creating a lively atmosphere in the center of the park.
Guests can also experience Frozen Holiday Surprise, which brings Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the snowgies together for a seasonal transformation of Cinderella Castle.
Throughout the evening, various dance parties and character-led experiences will keep energy levels high across multiple lands.
Exclusive Character Meet-and-Greets
Character encounters remain one of the most popular parts of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, especially because several appearances are exclusive to the event.
Disney has confirmed that Anna and Elsa will greet guests at Princess Fairytale Hall. Town Square Theater will once again host holiday versions of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, while Jack Skellington dressed as Sandy Claws will return alongside Sally.
Santa Claus will also be available during the party at Storybook Circus. In addition to meeting Santa, guests can enjoy holiday-themed activities and crafts in the area.
These character experiences frequently generate some of the longest waits of the evening, making them a priority for many visitors.
Holiday Overlays Transform Classic Attractions
Several Magic Kingdom attractions will once again receive special holiday enhancements during the event.
Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Mad Tea Party, Jungle Cruise, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor will all feature seasonal overlays or holiday-themed additions. These limited-time changes help create an atmosphere that feels distinct from a typical day at Magic Kingdom.

In addition to the overlay attractions, many of the park’s most popular rides will remain available throughout the party, including Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.
For many guests, the lower wait times available during the event are almost as valuable as the entertainment offerings themselves.
Complimentary Treats and Exclusive Merchandise
A long-standing party tradition will continue in 2026 as Disney once again offers complimentary holiday snacks and beverages throughout Magic Kingdom. Guests can pick up cookies and festive drinks at various locations around the park using the event guide map or the My Disney Experience app.
Disney also plans to offer exclusive event merchandise available only during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While specific products have not yet been revealed, additional details are expected closer to the start of the holiday season.
Guests looking for an upgraded experience can also expect the return of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Parties, though Disney says reservation information will be announced at a later date.
With 25 nights of festivities, returning entertainment favorites, and Magic Kingdom transformed for the holidays, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party remains one of Walt Disney World’s signature seasonal events. Even as ticket prices continue to climb, the combination of exclusive entertainment, character encounters, festive treats, and holiday atmosphere will likely keep demand high throughout the 2026 season.
