Two oversized Disney Princess doll boxes have appeared outside the Once Upon A Toy store at the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment complex, inviting guests to pose as Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog (2009) and Rapunzel from Tangled (2010). News: Guests visiting Disney Springs at #WaltDisneyWorld can step into a photo op that might be among the most unique ways to celebrate Earth Month:

The photo opportunity arrived quietly earlier this month as part of Walt Disney World Resort’s Earth Month activations, with no ticket or reservation required. Parking at Disney Springs is always free, making the whole experience completely cost-free for anyone who stops by.

Why Doll Boxes?

The choice of packaging as the backdrop isn’t random. Since 2021, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort have phased out plastic entirely from their doll packaging, switching to sustainably sourced, fully recyclable paper and cardboard. The shift has eliminated plastic waste from millions of Disney Park toy purchases, and the giant doll box installations outside Once Upon A Toy are meant to put that commitment on display in a way that lets guests literally step inside.

Don’t Wait Too Long

The photo-ops are tied to Earth Month and are expected to remain up through at least April 30, though Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t locked in an official end date. Guests with Disney Springs plans between now and the end of the month should add a stop outside Once Upon A Toy to the itinerary.
