Disney Tips Your Guide To A Great Disney Vacation

The Walt Disney World Resort is comprised of four incredible theme parks, though EPCOT remains one of the most unique and interesting. Split into four distinct sections: World Showcase, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Celebration, EPCOT seeks to both entertain and inform, blending educational experiences with exciting ride technology.
Unfortunately, the magic of EPCOT will end abruptly this summer, with the park set to close early due to a park-wide buyout.
EPCOT Closing Early in May

EPCOT will close early on May 21, 2025, to accommodate a private event for the SAP Saphire & ASUG Annual Conference in Orlando. The entire park, rides and all, is being bought out solely for this conference, with the Zac Brown Band performing as a special guest. Previous headliners of this event include Maroon 5, who performed at last year’s conference.
The event will run between 7:30 and 11:30 p.m., with EPCOT closing to all regular guests at 5:30. Of course, guests can still visit the three other theme parks, with their hours as follows:
- Magic Kingdom: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

EPCOT has undergone one of the largest and most substantial transformations of any of Disney’s theme parks, with work being finalized last year. While the heart of EPCOT remains mostly the same (though this is debated among die-hard fans), the park has received numerous upgrades over the last several years, with one of the most notable being Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
This thrilling roller coaster takes guests on an out-of-this-world journey alongside Marvel’s loveable crew of misfits known as the Guardians of the Galaxy as they attempt to stop our existence from being wiped out. The coaster is incredibly fun and smooth and plays one of six randomly selected music tracks, giving guests another reason to come back for one more ride.
Other notable additions to EPCOT include Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, which invites guests to explore nature and water through interactive exhibits and elements, as well as an entirely new gardens section to sit back and relax in.
