Disney loves honoring veterans from all over the country. One of the successful pipelines is the Disney Military Fellowship Program. It offers a wide range of Disney roles to active duty military members during their service the last 180 days.

This is all done with the Department of Defense Skillbridge program, which allows service members who are transitioning out of the military an opportunity to gain civilian work experiences through industry training, internships and apprenticeships.

Disney Parks Blog shared a story of a Cast Member Dan Grundvig. He is the manager of Supplier Diversity and was the first participant in the Disney Military Fellowship Program back in 2017 when he was retiring from the US Army.

Grungvig shared: “When I left the military, I was looking for a company that would offer me the same level of satisfaction I had while serving 30 years in military uniform,” said Dan. “I found what I was looking for at Disney, which has the same values, ethics, and teamwork that I enjoyed in the military. I’m enjoying being part of another winning team following my time in uniform.”

Along with many other things that COVID-19 paused, it had this program come to a halt temporarily. In January of 2022, U.S. Army Master Sergeant David Kress was the newest to join.

Alumni of this program work in places all over, including at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Cruise Line. Here are a couple more of these outstanding service members.
