7 Disney World Attractions That Could Be Relocated To Different Lands or Parks

When it comes to Disney World, guests naturally associate certain attractions with their respective lands or parks.

For instance, where else would you find Pirates of the Caribbean besides Adventureland at Magic Kingdom? Is there a better home for Peter Pan’s Flight and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train than Fantasyland, the home of storybook classics? And can you imagine Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge anywhere else besides Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

With all that said, some attractions clearly don’t belong where you’ll currently find them. In some cases, the arrival of new themed lands means certain rides feel like they’ve been left on the sidelines. Others simply leave us confused as to why they weren’t relocated elsewhere a long time ago.

Obviously, relocating an attraction would be a massive undertaking, and there’s no reason why Disney would ever consider such a massive operation where the rides are functioning perfectly well where they are. Still, here are seven Disney World attractions that obviously belong either in another themed land or in an entirely different Disney Park altogether.

1. Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise is a classic, humor-driven riverboat tour through a melting pot of the world’s most famous and biodiverse jungles. While its current home in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom makes enough sense, surely it would be better placed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?

2. “it’s a small world”

“it’s a small world” is yet another Disney Parks classic. Again, its place in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is hardly enough to leave one confused, but as it celebrates cultures from all around the world, we can’t help but feel that this attraction would seem much more at home in EPCOT’s World Showcase.

3. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is one of the more aesthetically pleasing rides at Disney World and its vibrant, futuristic theme certainly fits in with an area like Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. But with Toy Story Land located over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where you’ll find Slinky Dog Dash and Toy Story Mania!, isn’t it time for this ride to go where it belongs?

4. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

Tomorrowland’s Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is an absolute crowd-pleaser. But now that the Monsters, Inc. themed land Monstropolis is being built at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney should consider making this comedy show a part of that land.

5. Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After can be found in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. It’s one of the most impressive Disney Parks attractions — its animatronics are truly something to behold — and obviously its location makes perfect sense. That said, it wouldn’t feel out of place at Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, either.

6. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which launches guests into the cosmos at EPCOT, feels like something you might expect to find somewhere at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On the other hand, there are no other Marvel-themed rides at Disney World, so it would feel standalone no matter where it is.

7. Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, the longstanding Star Tours – The Adventures Continue seems somewhat out of place now that Disney’s Hollywood Studios has Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, home to the two signature attractions Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. Luckily, the classic ride is only a stone’s throw from the themed land.
