Confirmed: Disney World Annual Passholders Blocked From Watching Christmas Parade

Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholders are now officially blocked from watching the Christmas parade at Magic Kingdom.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is one of Magic Kingdom’s biggest holiday traditions. The procession travels from Frontierland to Main Street, U.S.A., featuring dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, Disney characters in festive costumes, and Santa Claus himself bringing up the rear.

In 2026, the parade returns during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, running on select nights from November 8 through December 22. Performances are scheduled for 8:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., with separate admission required. The parade also typically becomes available to regular guests during Christmas week.
However, there’s an opportunity to catch the parade even earlier this year, without purchasing a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Two special daytime performances are scheduled for November 10 and 11, although there’s a catch for Annual Passholders hoping to join the festivities.
Disney World’s Annual Passholders Now Unable to Watch Parade Early
Both opportunities are now off the table for Annual Passholders without existing reservations. As of October 23, Magic Kingdom has reached its Passholder reservation limit for November 10 and 11, meaning neither date is currently available to book through Disney’s reservation system.

Reservations for November 11 filled up first, just one day after the special Christmas parade performances were revealed. November 10 has since followed, leaving Passholders unable to secure new Magic Kingdom reservations for either of the 2 p.m. performances.
However, there is still a potential workaround.
Passholders can reserve another Walt Disney World park, enter it, and then hop to Magic Kingdom, subject to capacity restrictions. They can also enter Magic Kingdom without a reservation after 2 p.m., although this risks missing the parade’s scheduled start.

Disney World’s reservation system has faced criticism since its introduction in July 2020, when the parks reopened following the COVID-19 shutdown. Passholders have repeatedly complained that the requirement limits spontaneous visits, with some questioning why they must secure reservations despite paying hundreds of dollars for annual access.
Disney has gradually relaxed these restrictions. Since April 2023, Passholders have been able to enter most parks after 2 p.m. without reservations. January 2024 brought reservation-free “good-to-go” days, while regular date-based ticket holders were exempted entirely. However, Passholders still face restrictions on mornings and select weekend visits.
Recently, Disneyland Resort made a major adjustment to its reservation system by removing its no-show penalty. Walt Disney World does not have a no-show penalty or suspension policy for missing a theme park reservation.
