Walt Disney World is preparing for one of its busiest stretches of the year, but guests hoping to celebrate Christmas at Magic Kingdom over Thanksgiving weekend just received some disappointing news.
With the holiday season approaching, Disney families are already making plans to enjoy festive decorations, special entertainment, and some of the resort’s most popular seasonal experiences.
Unfortunately, getting tickets to one of Disney World’s biggest Christmas celebrations is becoming increasingly difficult.

And this latest sellout comes just days after another popular Thanksgiving week date became unavailable.
Here’s what guests need to know about the latest ticket restrictions, which dates remain available, and what Disney has planned for this year’s Christmas celebration.
Disney World Confirms Another Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Sellout
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has officially sold out for Friday, November 27, 2026.
That date falls immediately after Thanksgiving, making it an especially popular choice for families visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday weekend.
The announcement follows another recent sellout for Wednesday, November 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
With both dates unavailable, guests hoping to attend the Christmas party during Thanksgiving week now have fewer options.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is one of Magic Kingdom’s most popular seasonal events, bringing special entertainment, character appearances, holiday treats, and festive experiences to the park on select nights.
Unlike the Christmas decorations and seasonal offerings available during regular park hours, the party requires a separate admission ticket.
Once Disney sells out a particular date, guests can no longer purchase standard admission for that evening unless additional tickets become available.
For families who planned their Thanksgiving vacations around the event, the latest announcement could mean adjusting their itineraries or choosing another holiday experience.
These Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates Are Still Available
Although November 25 and November 27 are sold out, guests still have several opportunities to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party before the celebration ends.
As of October 21, the following dates remain available:
November 2026:
- November 15
- November 19
- November 29
December 2026:
- December 3, 4, 6, and 8
- December 10, 11, and 13
- December 15, 17, and 18

However, availability could change as the holiday season approaches.
Disney’s remaining party tickets for guests ages 10 and older range from $194 to $229, depending on the selected date.
Children ages 3 through 9 receive a $10 discount, while eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can receive additional savings on select evenings.
The Christmas party officially begins at 7 p.m. and continues until midnight.
However, ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m., giving them three additional hours to explore the park before the exclusive festivities begin.
That early entry period can be particularly useful for families who want to enjoy attractions, grab dinner, or take holiday photographs before the evening entertainment gets underway.
What Does Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Include?
While the sellouts might disappoint some visitors, it’s easy to understand why Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party remains such a popular Disney World tradition.
The separately ticketed event transforms Magic Kingdom into a Christmas celebration featuring special entertainment, seasonal character appearances, festive music, and holiday treats.
One of the biggest attractions is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, which brings beloved Disney characters, holiday performers, decorated floats, and Santa Claus down the parade route.
Guests can also look forward to Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, a nighttime spectacular featuring holiday music and fireworks above Cinderella Castle.
Another popular offering is Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a stage show that brings Mickey Mouse and his friends together for a festive performance in front of Cinderella Castle.
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy holiday-themed entertainment, including dance parties and seasonal music.
The event has also traditionally offered complimentary cookies and select holiday beverages at designated locations throughout Magic Kingdom.
Special character meet-and-greets give visitors opportunities to see Disney favorites dressed for the Christmas season, while select attractions remain available during the party.
Some rides may also feature holiday-themed additions, depending on Disney’s entertainment lineup for the year.
Guests should check Disney’s official 2026 party guide for the final entertainment schedule, participating attractions, character locations, and complimentary treat offerings.
For many families, the combination of Christmas entertainment and additional time inside Magic Kingdom makes the event a major part of their holiday vacation.
Thanksgiving Guests Still Have Other Disney World Christmas Options
Missing out on Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party doesn’t mean families have to miss Disney World’s holiday celebrations altogether.
Magic Kingdom will still feature Christmas decorations and seasonal atmosphere during regular operating hours.
Guests can enjoy the decorated Main Street, U.S.A., take holiday photographs, and explore the park without purchasing a separate Christmas party ticket.
Tickets remain available for most 2026 Jollywood Nights dates as of October 21.
That event offers a different Christmas atmosphere, with holiday entertainment, themed experiences, and festive offerings throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Meanwhile, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays begins November 27, giving Thanksgiving weekend visitors another opportunity to celebrate the season.
The festival features holiday traditions, seasonal entertainment, and food offerings inspired by celebrations around the world.
Disney World’s resort hotels also provide additional opportunities to experience Christmas decorations and seasonal displays.
These alternatives could help families enjoy the holidays even if their preferred Magic Kingdom party date is no longer available.

More Disney World Christmas Party Dates Could Sell Out Soon
With Thanksgiving approaching and Christmas vacation planning picking up, the latest sellouts serve as another reminder that Disney World’s most popular holiday experiences can reach capacity well before their scheduled dates.
November 25 and November 27 are now unavailable, and only three November party dates remain on the reported ticket calendar.
Although December still offers more choices, those dates could become increasingly popular as families finalize their travel plans.
Guests hoping to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party should review the official Walt Disney World ticket calendar before making arrangements.
For those visiting during Thanksgiving week, November 29 remains an option as of October 21.
And while Magic Kingdom’s Christmas party is only one part of Disney World’s holiday celebration, the latest sellouts show just how quickly those limited opportunities can disappear.
