The holiday season hasn’t even officially begun at Walt Disney World, but guests are already running out of opportunities to attend one of Magic Kingdom’s biggest Christmas events.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returns this November and December, bringing its usual mix of holiday entertainment, festive treats, character appearances, and after-hours access to Magic Kingdom.

But anyone still hoping to attend may not want to wait much longer to make a decision.

Another December party has officially sold out, becoming the third date to disappear from the calendar for 2026. More importantly, two of those sold-out events fall during the final days of the party season.

That could be an early sign of what is coming as the holidays get closer.

Another Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Date Is Gone

Guests can no longer purchase tickets for the December 20 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.

That makes December 20 the third party date to sell out for the 2026 season. November 24 and December 22 had already reached capacity, meaning three dates are now unavailable to guests who have not purchased tickets.

The latest sellout is especially notable because of where it falls on the calendar.

December 20 is one of the final Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights of the year. December 22, the final scheduled event, has already sold out as well.

That leaves December 18 as the final currently available party date before the two sold-out events on December 20 and December 22.

For guests specifically hoping to experience the party during the final stretch before Christmas, their options are becoming considerably more limited.

The good news is that plenty of dates remain available earlier in the season.

Plenty of November and December Dates Remain

As of October 4, guests still have several opportunities to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Available November dates include November 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 25, 27, and 29.

December still has availability for December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 18.

That gives guests quite a few choices, particularly those who have flexibility with their Walt Disney World vacation dates.

Still, the pattern developing at the end of December is worth watching.

Both December 20 and December 22 are now unavailable. Those dates naturally sit close to Christmas, when Walt Disney World attracts large holiday crowds and many families are traveling for winter break.

Guests who specifically want a late-December party may therefore have much less flexibility than someone visiting in November or early December.

There is also no guarantee that the dates currently listed as available will stay that way.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party regularly attracts guests who plan their trips months ahead, but ticket demand can also accelerate as vacation dates get closer. Someone waiting to make a final decision could discover that their preferred night has disappeared in the meantime.

November 24 Was the First Party to Sell Out

Interestingly, the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party sellout of 2026 wasn’t one of the final December dates.

November 24 became the first event to reach capacity.

December 22 followed, taking the final party of the season off the board. Now, December 20 has joined those dates.

That creates an unusual spread among the first three sellouts.

Guests have already claimed all available tickets for one late-November event and two of the final December parties, while many nights between those dates remain open.

It also means guests shouldn’t necessarily assume that earlier dates will always sell before later ones.

Travel schedules, school calendars, Thanksgiving plans, Christmas vacations, and other factors can all influence which nights become particularly appealing.

For someone building a Walt Disney World vacation around the Christmas party, availability may ultimately matter more than simply choosing the date that appears best on paper.

What Guests Get With a Party Ticket

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event, so regular admission to Magic Kingdom does not automatically provide access to the party.

The event officially begins at 7 p.m. on scheduled nights.

However, party ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m., giving them several hours inside the park before the event officially gets underway.

That early-entry window can make a significant difference for guests who are not planning to purchase a regular theme park ticket for the same day.

Instead of spending the entire day at Magic Kingdom, visitors can use the morning and early afternoon elsewhere before entering with their party ticket.

Once the regular park day ends, the focus shifts toward the special Christmas event.

For many families, that combination is part of the appeal. The party provides an opportunity to experience Magic Kingdom during the holidays while adding entertainment and seasonal offerings that guests will not necessarily find during an ordinary daytime visit.

Of course, that experience comes at a significant price.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets Aren’t Cheap

Tickets for the 2026 event range from $189 to $229, depending on the party date.

Children between the ages of 3 and 9 receive a $10 discount, while eligible Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can receive special pricing on qualifying dates.

For a family, those prices can add hundreds of dollars to an already expensive Walt Disney World vacation.

That makes choosing the right party date even more important.

Guests have to consider not only availability, but also their overall vacation schedule, ticket price, expected crowds, and how much time they want to spend at Magic Kingdom.

Some visitors may prefer an earlier November party when Christmas travel has not reached its peak. Others specifically want to visit as close to December 25 as possible, even if doing so limits their options.

The latest sellouts show that plenty of guests are willing to pay for those coveted holiday dates.

Waiting Could Make the Decision for You

There are still more than 20 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates with tickets available, so the event as a whole is far from sold out.

But guests targeting particular nights should pay attention.

The situation has already changed several times, and the two parties closest to the end of the season are now unavailable. December 18 is currently the latest date guests can still choose.

That could make it particularly attractive to visitors who wanted December 20 or December 22 but missed their opportunity.

The same could eventually happen with other popular nights.

Guests with flexible vacation plans have an advantage because they can choose among numerous November and December dates. Those locked into a short trip may have only one or two party nights that fit their schedule.

Once those tickets disappear, changing plans may mean moving an entire vacation rather than simply choosing another evening.

Christmas Is Already Filling Up at Magic Kingdom

Three sold-out dates do not mean Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is suddenly impossible to attend.

Far from it.

There are still numerous opportunities to experience the event throughout November and December. But the latest sellout offers another reminder that availability can change well before the Christmas decorations come down.

November 24 is gone. December 20 is gone. The December 22 finale is gone.

For guests determined to celebrate Christmas at Magic Kingdom during one of these special events, waiting comes with a little more risk now.

The biggest question is which date disappears next.
