Once Upon A Wish Party
The unique engagement, called “Once Upon A Wish Party,” is a full-day affair filled with magical surprises and enchanting adventures. This extraordinary event has been designed explicitly for wish families. It includes character meet and greets, tea parties, and at the end of the night–a royal ball that will create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Earlier this week, Minnie Mouse, accompanied by Disney Cast Members and the Make-A-Wish team, visited Ventura Elementary School in Florida. Their mission was to personally inform 7-year-old Scarlett, the very first wish child to be invited to the event, that her dream of experiencing a “Disney Princess adventure” was about to come true. Surrounded by nearly 100 of her first-grade classmates and teachers, Scarlett, a devoted fan of Disney Princesses since she was a baby, received the joyous news.

“She’s going to have this super special experience and be able to go to the royal ball as a princess … I know she’s going to enjoy every single second of it,” Scarlett’s mom said.
Scarlett’s Story
Scarlett’s journey has been marked by resilience, as she faced the need for a heart transplant at 18 months old and underwent multiple surgeries.
“Disney is the largest wish granter in the world, and over our more than 40-year relationship, we’ve granted some pretty incredible wishes together,” said Leslie Motter, Make-A-Wish America President and CEO. “Whatever Disney does, they go all out. I can’t wait to see the new happy memories Scarlett and our other attending wish families will be able to make at what is sure to be an unforgettable event.”
While this wish event at Walt Disney World will be an unprecedented experience, Disney and Make-A-Wish seem to share the belief that the power of wishes coming true helps change lives.
