Disney Addresses Jack Skellington and Sally’s Wait Time Problem
Jack Skellington and Sally, the beloved duo from 1993’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, remain the toughest ticket at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Each night the party runs, guests routinely face waits of multiple hours or more to meet the pair, forcing many to choose between the meet-and-greet and other party exclusives like the Boo to You Parade or the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.
A Small Change With a Big Impact
According to Kenny the Pirate, cast members are now handing guests bins near the front of the line to hold personal belongings before meeting Jack and Sally, who have a newly reinvented look. Those bins are set aside on a nearby table, letting guests move through the meet-and-greet without stopping to set down bags, phones, or drinks once it’s their turn. It is a minor logistical tweak, but one that reportedly kept the line moving noticeably faster during a recent party night.

What the Wait Time Data Shows
A wait-time chart from Queue Times for Jack and Sally’s meet-and-greet on August 28, 2026, supports why this change matters. For most of the day, the line registers as closed, shown as a flat line near zero, since the meet-and-greet is exclusive to the after-hours, hard-ticket party. Once the party begins in the evening, reported wait times climb quickly, fluctuating between roughly 30 and 50 minutes before spiking to a reported 90 minutes at 9:05 p.m., likely reflecting the party’s peak crowd window. Even with the new bin system in place, demand for this meet-and-greet is clearly still intense.
It is not clear whether the bin system has been rolled out permanently or park-wide for other, more popular experiences, and guests should expect wait times to vary by party date and crowd level.
