Plan Your Disney World Trip Wisely: Optimal Dates Revealed Amid Ticket Price Hikes

The Disney World ticket price is an ever-evolving beast.

In late February, Disney World announced plans to increase per-day theme park ticket prices in 2025. This isn’t the first time the Central Florida Disney parks have announced plans for ticket price hikes–not by a long shot. In fact, the Walt Disney World Resort is known for frequent increases in ticket prices.

In light of the recent news about plans for significant ticket price increases next year, we’re sharing information about the dates on which ticket prices will be their lowest in 2025–and even a few dates on which ticket prices will be lower next year than they are in 2024.

Park Ticket Prices Are Set to Increase . . . Again

Disney World just announced an official increase in ticket prices, effective in 2025. And that’s not the only ticket price change Disney has announced recently. Another increase was announced only a few months earlier in October 2023.

As of February 2024, Disney World’s official website has daily ticket prices listed through November 2025. The posted prices reveal an increase of $10 per ticket for the least expensive park ticket compared to the price of a ticket for the same date in 2024.

But because ticket prices vary from day to day, depending on whether or not it’s peak season in the Central Florida Disney theme parks, it’s important for guests to look closely at specific dates and prices when planning their 2025 Disney World visits–especially if they’re looking for lower ticket prices.

The Least Expensive Days to Visit Disney World in 2025

As of the time of this publication, the least expensive days to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in 2025 fall in the months of August and September. It makes sense that theme park tickets would be at their lowest during those months when attendance is usually not at its highest at Disney World.

Guests who visit during August and September next year can enjoy lower per-day ticket prices as compared with dates during the rest of the year, but it’s important to remember that August and September are among the warmest months in Central Florida.

Currently, the lowest per-day ticket prices are listed on August 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, and 28. The following month, the lowest per-day ticket prices are listed on September 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25.

So far, the most expensive month in which to visit the Walt Disney World Resort next year is–believe it or not–February, which has historically been a slower time in the parks as it pertains to crowds. In February 2025, however, one-day passes to the Most Magical Place on Earth start at $169.

2025 Dates That Are Actually Cheaper in Comparison to 2024

Despite the fact that Disney World ticket prices will increase across the proverbial board in 2025, there are a few dates on which ticket prices will see a decrease, when compared to the per-day ticket price in 2024 for the same date–and they, too, fall in the months of August and September.

Ticket prices on August 19 and September 2, 2025, are currently listed at prices that are lower than they are for August 19 and September 2, 2024.

In 2024, a one-day ticket on August 19 is currently listed at a price of $129. The price for a ticket on August 25, 2024 is $134, and on September 2, 2024, guests will pay $149 to visit the Central Florida Disney theme parks. In 2025, however, all three of those dates list one-day ticket prices beginning at $119, a savings of between $10 and $30 per ticket when compared to 2024 pricing.

It’s important to note, however, that the least expensive one-day ticket on the above dates only allows guests entrance into Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park. On the same dates, guests can visit Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios for between $129 and $144 per ticket.

A few of the dates in 2025 also offer less expensive Park Hopper passes, as compared to the Park Hopper prices for the same dates in 2024, for guests who want to enjoy more than one Disney World theme park.

For example, Park Hopper pass prices start at $197 on August 19 and August 25, 2025, compared to $217 for the same dates in 2024.

Ticket Price Hikes: A Common Practice at Disney World

Though news of ticket price increases at Disney World can be frustrating and discouraging, guests who frequent the parks have to ask themselves–is this really news in the first place?
Disney World theme park ticket price increases have been a common practice for years–so much so that many guests hear the news of an increase, roll their eyes, and keep going. Some of them simply think, why fight it? Though most fans of the parks would be happy as clams to never see additional increases again, they’ve come to almost expect it over the years.
In October 2023, Annual Pass prices soared, as the cost for Disney’s Incredi-Pass and Pirate Pass increased by $50 each, while the price of Disney’s Sorcerer Pass increased by $30, and Disney’s Pixie Dust Pass saw a price increase of $40.
As of the time of this publication, the price of Disney’s Incredi-Pass, the only Annual Pass available to all guests–and the only option for non-Florida residents–is $1,543. It will be interesting to see whether that price increases again within the year–and to what extent.
