When Disneyland Paris revealed plans for a Lion King-themed land, it confirmed what many guests had already hoped: that the park hadn’t forgotten certain beloved Disney classics. But there’s one existing attraction that’s been quietly celebrating Disney’s extensive library for decades — the miniature story-book adventure, Le Pays des Contes de Fées.

Translated as “The Land of Fairy Tales,” the open-air boat ride is an overlooked gem. Set in a remote section of Fantasyland, it gently carries guests past small-scale versions of settings from classic animated films like Snow White (1937) and Beauty and the Beast (1991).

Among them: Rapunzel’s tower, Belle’s village, Prince Eric’s castle, and the dwarfs’ mine. The attention to detail is remarkable, while music fades in and out with each scene. Over time, the attraction has evolved. More recent additions have brought in FrozenUp, and Winnie the Pooh. These updates, though subtle, show how the ride is is still changing.

But this opens the door to other possibilities for Disneyland Paris. What about MoanaZootopia, or Coco? Those are just a few examples of classics that have each carved out a meaningful place in Disney’s enormous vault. All three offer bold visuals and rich, immersive worlds that would translate perfectly into miniature form at the resort.

Disneyland Paris clearly sees the value in folding in newer titles — and that approach could eventually extend to themed areas beyond the ride.

It wouldn’t be the first time. What started as a short Frozen singalong has grown into an entire land (World of Frozen) set to open in Paris next year. And The Lion King is next. So it’s not hard to imagine a future expansion that finally gives fans a Coco dark ride or a Zootopia walkthrough. It would be “a whole new world” of magic for the Paris resort.
