Disneyland Announces Final Date for Daytime Parade

Disneyland Paris is preparing to remove one of its daytime entertainment offerings.

Parades have long played a major role at Disney theme parks, giving guests the chance to see characters, dancers, themed floats, and live performers without joining an attraction queue.

Productions currently operating across Disney resorts include Festival of Fantasy at Magic Kingdom, Harmony in Color at Tokyo Disneyland, and Paint the Night at Disneyland Resort.

However, guests at another Disneyland Park now have only a few weeks remaining to see its current daytime parade.

Disneyland Park Parade Ends September 6

A Million Splashes of Colour will end its current run at Disneyland Park on September 6.

The production operates at Disneyland Paris’ primary park and returned earlier this year after previously entertaining guests in 2024.

Its September departure coincides with the resort’s preparations for its annual Halloween and Christmas celebrations. The parade has previously paused at a similar point in the calendar before seasonal entertainment takes over.

This time, however, fans are questioning whether A Million Splashes of Colour will ever return.

Disneyland Paris will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2027, with guests expecting the milestone to bring new shows, decorations, merchandise, and potentially a replacement daytime parade.

Disneyland Paris has not confirmed that the September 6 performance will be the parade’s permanent finale.

The resort has also not announced what, if anything, will replace the production once it leaves the entertainment schedule.

A Million Splashes of Colour debuted in February 2024 as part of Disney Symphony of Colours, a season of entertainment introduced at Disneyland Paris.

The 30-minute production features approximately 30 Disney characters and performers, who travel toward Central Plaza before presenting much of the show around the park’s central hub.

Unlike a traditional Disney parade, A Million Splashes of Colour uses fewer large floats and places greater emphasis on choreography, costumes, music, and character appearances.

That format helped distinguish it from Disney Stars on Parade, the resort’s established daytime procession.

Some Disneyland Paris regulars criticized the production during its first season, particularly its limited number of floats and grating soundtrack.

Disney made several changes before bringing A Million Splashes of Colour back in early 2026. While the updates addressed some complaints, the production has not achieved the same popularity as Disney Stars on Parade.

Guests hoping to see the outdoor show now have until September 6 before its current run comes to an end.

Disney Tests Indoor Version

A Million Splashes of Colour may still have a future away from the parade route.

Disneyland Paris recently presented an adapted version of the production inside the Videopolis theater in Discoveryland.

The indoor performance was introduced during a period of extreme heat at the resort.

High temperatures led Disneyland Paris to remove costumed characters from outdoor parades until conditions improved, reducing the physical risk faced by performers wearing heavy costumes.

The adapted show allowed guests to experience some of the production’s music, characters, and choreography inside a climate-controlled venue.

Fans praised the move, with some suggesting that Videopolis could provide a useful alternative whenever weather conditions prevent the outdoor parade from operating normally.

Disneyland Paris has not said whether the indoor version will become a permanent addition.

It may remain a temporary response to extreme temperatures rather than a long-term replacement for the full Central Plaza production.

For now, September 6 is the final confirmed date for A Million Splashes of Colour.

Once the parade leaves the schedule, Disneyland Paris will shift its focus toward Halloween, Christmas, and its upcoming 35th-anniversary celebrations, which some believe could finally usher in a new attraction for Disneyland Park, plus the restoration of its original Space Mountain.
